I installed an EM770J WWAN card into my Latitude E6500. Windows 7 x64 picked up on the device and installed the drivers. Now I'm stuck figuring out what to do next. Dell ControlPoint Connection Manager doesn't see the Mobile Broadband card. Looking to connect to WIND Mobile in Canada.

    Any thoughts?

Does Device Manager even see the card?

Yes - the drivers installed through Windows Update.

I found an unbranded version of the companion software called "Mobile Partner". After installing it I can see that the EM770J can see the SIM card in the laptop. The next step appears to be to register the device with a network (or search for a network). When I hit the search screen no networks appear. When I plug in the USB data stick from the carrier (Huawei E1691) it sees the networks for that device.

The Huawei forum appears to be dead - no responses to date from my post there.
