I am currently running windows 7 on my E6500 and it has the FIPS fingerprint scanner. Recently, when the laptop is left idle for a while to goes in to screen saver/hibernation. When I go back to use it, I have to scan my fingerprint again. It is after I do this that my CPU usage is at 100% and does not allow me to do anything. The only way to fix this I have found is to restart in safe mode as regular restart has the same problem.
