Other than screen size is there any advantage to either of these?

    The E64x0 is more portable.

You can get 1920x1080p for the E6510 vs 900p for the E6410. It is also 14.1 vs 15.6. Parts are interchangeable, so not a huge difference. And weight (obviously)

Are there any stores that sell these so I can at least go pick them or see them in person before purchasing from the outlet?

Not that I know of, maybe 3rd party refurbishers. Might want to see a friend who owns one? I've used an E6500 and E6400 and both are very similar to the new models that they are being replaced with, both are solidly built and will serve you well for a long time.

E6510 can go up to a quad i7, which is not available on the E6410.

Whall, I'm sure you can put an i7 in an E6410. The i5 in my E6410 hits 85c wit Prime95.

Dual core i7 yes, but I wouldn't want to put a 45W quad core CPU into the E6410, even if it will work. Unless you have applications that are designed as multi-threaded the quad core won't bring much benefit. An i7-640M will run a single-threaded application faster than an i7-820QM.

So I cant decide between the two. So far these are the benefits of each that I have gathered:

-6410 has better screen ratio (16:10) apparently. Not sure how much better this is than the 16:9

    -6410 is more portable

    -6510 has 1080p capability

    -6510 has better speakers

-I want an i5 or i3 so the 6510 i7 capability doesnt mean anything to me.

Thanks for all the info guys. Any other difference that i missed?

Partly null, since a E6510 can hit higher resolutions (1920 x 1080, vs 1440x900 max), and it still gets more vertical pixels, so not much of a loss. But yeah, if you hate super wide aspect ratios for some reason, it's a valid point.
