How will you use it... they are not sound machines so I don't think the speakers are a deciding factor... it comes down to portability and display size/resolution... the E6410 is more mobile. Go to a big box store and compare comparable units for footprint and native screen resolution. I doubt you will want anything visually smaller than 1440x900 on a 14.1", so I'd consider that one end of the resolution range.

lol if you are choosing a business notebook based off speakers then you are mistaken!

It really is a choice of more power/screen vs portability. 15.6" vs 14.1"

The weight difference is about 1lb / 0.45kg which can get significant.

The E6510 is about 1.5" / 4cm wider which means is needs a bigger and heavier bag.

Think of the E6510's 1600 x 900 display as being the E6410's 1440 x 900 display with an extra 140 pixels added at the side. Provided your eyes can handle small pixels then the E6510's 1920 x 1080 means that you can pack a lot more onto the screen.

Err...160...pixels if my math is correct? Though 1080p is still 16:9 180 pixels vertically is alot of real estate, worth every penny IMO!

I still like the 14.1" better...think I might get an E6410 to replace the D620 eventually.

    Correct. :(
Yes, provided the display height is increased so that the pixels aren't smaller (eg revert to a 4:3 display  ).

So do you guys think for playing HD movies on a big screen TV is a video card needed or will intel integrated hd graphics work? Would I see a difference in playing movies on the laptop if I have a graphics card?

Even the previous Intel GPU could handle HD movies without difficult because it has a built-in HD decoder. The current GPU will be even better. A dedicated GPU gives you more pipelines for processing 3D graphics but, for 2D work, the Intel GPU is a competent performer.

Yes, John is correct. My Latitude 13's 4500MHD can run HD video just fine. Intel HD graphics is a couple levels above that, and they were saying SB IGP was up to 2-4 times more potent than Intel HD graphics.

I was thinking about waiting for sandbridge but I think it will be 4-6 months before they are in the outlet. For my use I dont think I would benefit from them either.
