Eek! Was almost ripped off on a M4600!

    the last gen precision didnt have IPS as far as i know, it just had a normal TN RGBLED display

    Ouch. That stinks! Well, in that case it seems like I will be looking for a current model Precision or EliteBook W. I love this darn thing, but I need the ability to use my Spyder3 Elite to match the output at the printers. From what I have seen the M4600 is a nicer machine than the 8560w, so, we'll see!

    use the $600 u saved to get an external IPS?

    anyway you most likely will be able to make a profit on ur unit, as long as you sell it quickly.

    Truthfully, it would be nice to be able to proof and process on the road. It's certainly not critical, but would make for a smoother workflow.
