FX3600M problem on a Precision M6300

    hello,

    I'm having issue with a newly bought (ebay) Dell Precision M6300 with a FX3600M.
    Windows device manager gives an error 43 and says it stopped the card working due to an issue.
    this is both under vista 64bit and 7 64bit
    I tried the original dell nvidia drivers as well as several other Nvidia including the very latest 275.33.
    Only managed to get the card working for about an hour corretly with a 6month old driver but after a screen power down it crashed again an now wont work correctly.

    Anyone else have this issue ?

    Sounds like a bad card. I would attempt to get my money back.

    Wasn't the M6300 affected by the defective Nvidia chips? FX3600M is based off G92M/8800M GTX and that was a problematic card (in the XPS M1730).

    ok PC on the way back to the seller.
    bought another M6300 last night from a local shop here in Germany with 1 year warranty for a bit more but at least all is running ok so far :D
