    I have a Latitude e6500, with a recently-installed 2nd HD, a Western Digital Scorpio Blue.

Tonight, for no good reason, the drive wouldn't appear in "My Computer." So I shut down the machine, took the drive in and out, and rebooted. Problem solved!

However, just to be on the safe side, I ran WD data lifeguard tools...

The drive passes the SMART test. But on the Quick Test, it won't complete, giving me a message: Status Code = 7 (Failed Read Test Element), Failure Checkpoint = 97(Unknown Element).

Should I be worried? Or is this just some failure of the Data Lifeguard Tools software, some quirk of installing a 2nd hard drive in the media bay?

I'm worried about mine as well. I use the second harddrive for storage and dual boot. When I boot to it, it seems like the harddrive can't sleep. I makes a click like its trying to stop the disk and then the disk spins up again, over and over.
