I don't see why there would be any problems. Haven't tried it, but you should be ok.

You should be fine using Vista drivers on Windows 7, just make sure to get the latest versions from http://support.dell.com and use Windows Update.

Done it on the D520, and had NO issues at all. Everything worked well, right out of the box type deal. Just make sure Bios and all drivers are up to date.

The one thing you will have issues with is screen brightness. Out of the box it doesn't work.

I have just had a heated 'discussion' with Dell support reps over this issue.
Initially they said that even though the D530 is Windows 7 compatible, that was a designation by Microsoft, not Dell, and they didn't support it. They said I should go back to Vista (Noooooooooooooo!).

Anyway, you will need the below files to work. I haven't been able to find any Windows 7 drivers for the D530 on the Dell website, which is rather poor form. I had to threaten/cajole the drivers out of them.

    Video Drivers:
    For Windows 7 32 bit:

    For Windows 7 64 bit:

    Latest QuickSet:
    Win7 32-bit:

    Win7 64-bit:
