One of my employees has a Latitude D630. She said when it's docked at home she can see her WiFi network but it does not allow her to connect. She can connect just fine when the laptop is not docked. This seems very strange. With bogus hardware profiles I have seen the wireless network card disable itself when docked - but what she is describing is completely different.

    Just to clarify:

Undocked: can see and connect to WiFi network
Docked: can see WiFi network but fails to connect

    Any ideas? User error? :D

Does her dock possibly also have a network cable plugged into it? That way it causes a conflict from both lan and wireless trying to connect? I know the D630 has the setting for when the ethernet cable is connected the wireless will get disabled. That is a feature thought that must be turned on and it notifies you when it occurs.
