My E6520's fingerprint reader seems to be faulty, but I can't decide if is sofware or hardware problem.
Sometimes I can't login using fingerprint reader, just (after waiting 2-3 seconds) I get a message "Please rescan your finger" or if the pre-windows login was set, swiping my finger just do nothing.
Some cases pressing Fn+F1 at the login screen, then waking up from sleep can help, and fingerprint sensor works again, but not everytime...
Generally the reboot, poweroff-poweron doesn't help.

When login with fingerprint doesn't work, the fingerprint registration in DPP doesn't work too, but it gives a different message: "Unable to read fingerprint! Please try again!".

In the device manager the ControlVault device looks OK. ("Device working properly")

Have you ever seen something like this?
