I was wondering if anyone who has one of the new latitude E5420 with the 1600x900 screen option can tell me the model number of the screen using hwinfo32 or another program? The reason I want to know this is the 1366x768 option uses the same Samsung screen as my Inspiron N4110 and I'm hoping that the 1600x900 screen in the latitude E5420 will work in my inspiron.

If its the same screen thats in the e6420, you probably wont want it. Mine looked like I was looking through a screen door. :(

From what I've been reading the E6420 also uses the same 1366x768 screen so if someone with an E6420 with a 1600x900 screen can tell me the model number of the screen I would appreciate it.

It may not work because your Inspiron may be using a single-channel LVDS cable. Not entirely sure about this though.
