I got the trackpoint mouse with the laptop but I need to adjust the settings. When I install the trackpoint driver the mouse all of a sudden isn't smooth it becomes stiff and moves in awkwardly. For example if I try and move the mouse in a circle around the screen it makes more of a hexagon shape than a circle motion. If I uninstall the dell mouse driver and move the mouse in a circle with the trackpoint it now does the perfect circle.. Is there a way of making the mouse move like this with the driver installed? I am not sure how else to describe the problem. Right now I use the trackpoint without the driver installed because it make its harder to use. I want the driver install though so I can disable the mouse pad is there a work a round i.e. can i uninstall the mouse pad without the driver installed?

I assume you mean the track stick pointing device in the keyboard.

Did it work when you got it from Dell?

There seems to be only one driver for both the stick and pad. Do you have the correct driver installed for your OS version?
