    Hi,
I've just ordered a Latitude e5520 with 3GB RAM and the standard 320GB Drive. I'm planning to replace the RAM (probably go to 6 or 8GB from Crucial) and get an SSD to replace the drive. Has anybodyu any experience doing this on this machine? It was pretty simple on my old hp 8710p (unscrew a door, pull out old component, put in new one). Any SSD recomendations for this machine? Is it SATA 2 or SATA 3?
    Dave

Just email your sales person about the SSD question since they should definitely know about that. I have the same machine but I'm waiting for another decline in SSD prices before I go that route. Don't upgrade RAM if you're on 32-bit although the panel is just where you think, screws on the bottom.

Dell's E5520 service manual is here. The Intel chipset in the E5520 supports SATA 3 but I haven't seen information to confirm that it works OK.
