I just received a 6-cell battery for my new Latitude E6320 laptop, which only came witl 3-cell. I bought from Far east (although thought it was from the UK!). Arrived today and the terminal location is different. My original battery is model 44CP5, the 6-cell one is T54FJ.

Any suggestions? I don't seem to be able to find any pictures of a 6-cell replacement, not even on the Dell website.

In the Netherlands a third party like ReplaceDirect.nl sells the 6-cell battery for E6320 as number T54F3
    (so not T54FJ)

Being administrator of a few of these Latitude E6320's I can give you these Dell part numbers:
    451-11702 3-cell battery E6320
    451-11704 6-cell battery E6320 (protudes from the back !)
    451-11697 E-Modular II bay 3-cell additional battery
451-11705 97 Wh-slice battery, placed under the machine

That looks like the part # of an E6420 battery.

Since you said it came from Asia, I bet it is a counterfeit. Ask the seller to give you a label to send it back, otherwise, file a claim with your credit card...

Thanks for the replies. There's something odd here. The T54F3 battery that you (GoneNative) mention looks the same as the one I've been sent - the power terminals are towards one end, whereas on my original battery they are closer to the centre - see photos.

I can't find anywhere a picture of a battery like mine in any store - they all look like the one I've been sent. Have Dell cocked-up with my laptop, or have they mistakenly logged the battery as the same as a previous model?

You are right. If you do an image search in Google with "Latitude E6320 battery" a bunch of images pop up with batteries that will never fit the E6320. If you go the websites that sell these batteries, number T54F3 and T54FJ with a lot of other numbers are standing near a picture of a battery that is clearly not intended for the E6320. They are either much too large or have the connectors in the wrong place.
If you do an image search with E6420 or E6520, even with E6220 instead of E6320, the same batteries and numbers like T54F3 and T54FJ appear.
I get the feeling that the third parties at present sell the same batteries for the E5x20 and E6x20 series, regardless of the size of the notebook.

My advice would be to buy a battery for the E6320 at Dell. At least if they sell you the wrong one, you can send it back.
The third party offers of batteries for the E6320 make a 'messy' impression.

Attached a picture of the 60Wh battery for the E6320. From my own E6320. So I know it fits :) As mentioned power connectors are near the centre instead of towards one end.

hello i was wondering if anyone can tell me if the 6 cell battery will fit in the e-port plus docking station.

also for the e-port plus can you hook up more than 1 screen and still use the laptop screen? i would like to use 2 displays as well as the laptop screen, like we do with our m4600.

    thanks!!

The E-series docking stations have adjustable depth, so if a battery sticks out the back, you just adjust the dock.
