    Hi All,

Anyone know if there is a way to set the e6400 backlit keyboard to always be on?

I currently have it set to the 5 minute timeout within the DCP software which is good enough, just curious if there is way to always keep it on.

    Many Thanks,
    Gregg

Yes, it should be just like the E6500... hit Fn + the right arrow and it should cycle through auto, off, and on.

The FN Keys will not keep it on 100% - even on the setting "on" it turns off in 45 seconds of inactivity- you need to go the Dell Controll point system manager application and choose keyboard- in there you can set the backlight time- to always -or like me 5 min- you can also set it to trigger with the trackpad where the default does not turn on with the pad
