In case anyone wants it, I have the Dell background image for the E6400. I had to compress it to a JPEG, so there was a little picture quality loss. But not bad.

    Anyway...enjoy...

Just curious, but did anyone order an E6400 with the bluetooth module? If so, is it an internal module or is it a USB external module?

In case anyone has been missing me, I was offline for a few days because I'm somewhere where dial-up prevails but the local shops didn't have any pre-paid dial-up cards. It's a good thing I ordered the USB modem (internal modem not available when i ordered).

I'm finding it unpleasantly hot in my current location (I should be moving out in a few days) but the E6400 is staying cool.

The keyboard does flex just right of middle but it is not noticeable under normal usage. Overall it is one of the better keyboards I have used. The touchpad action is also good - good enough for playing solitaire.

One does have to enable all the power management to get 6 hours out of the 6 cell, but 5 hours doesn't require much effort.

Did someone, somewhere give details of the performance and battery life of the nVidia GPU version?

I've got the NVidia GPU and while it hasn't blown me away in the little time I've been playing with it, I'll report back when I get a bit more playing done (it gets 3.2 in the windows experience index, incidentally).

Battery life seems to suffer noticeably compared to the integrated graphics, but I haven't measured properly yet, so again I'll report in when I get a chance to measure properly.

What is the NVIDIA Quadro NVS 160M comparable to? Is it like the 8400GS/8600GT?

A german forum had these numbers.

    NVS 160M:
    3DMark06 1996 - PCMark05 6092 und Cinebench 829

They also said that the NVS 160M in the E6400 had only DDR2 memory, as opposed to the E6500 having DDR3, so it will be slower then the big brother.

It is identical to a 9300M, except for the DDR2 used in the E6400 and the core is clocked slightly higher than the 9300 as well.

I had to order it separately, it was left off the original order.

I ordered the bluetooth part on 9/10, but the ship date shows 10/10. really hope it doesnt take that long to ship one little bluetooth module.

I see speedy has already answered that it is internal. Below are the dell instructions for replace/removing the card if you wanted to know where it is
