Um, i dont see any drivers for my touch pad, any drivers for my wireless card, any drivers for my intel GPU...and a lot others. I dont understand what I'm supposed to do. Are these all provided by windows update or something?

Windows update will give you anything missing already, as for touchpad.. use Vista 64-bit drivers.

They are new IDT drivers for Windows 7 released from Dell... check those out. Make sure you uninstall the old ones and restart your computer BEFORE installing the new ones (to clear all previous settings and ensure no conflict).

I dont' have and never had any Intel solution so I don't really know how the GPU works. But It could be a driver conflict somewhere else, making the sound not work. In 20 days from today, Dell will be able to help out and see it's your TV that doesn't support audio via display port, or the settings to make it work, or if something is broken.

for people using win7 -- I have my keyboard set to the fastest settings, but every time I return from sleep mode, it is reset to a default slower setting. The only way I can correct this is by opening up keyboard properties, and clicking okay, or changing it (even though it reports it as fastest) to something else, and back, and clicking apply.

it is excruciatingly irritating. it seems that it isn't a completely uncommon problem, but I cannot seem to find any solution to it. I should note that I have it set in the registry to be the fastest possible as well, and it doesnt matter.

if it is relevant, I have both logitech set point and g15 software installed. my touchpad speed also reverts each time to the default settings in the dell control panel, no matter what I do. very very annoying.

For the touch pad.. open SetPoint, and go to the Chess peace button tab.
Under "Speed and Acceleration", select "OS Implement".

so this is a bit crazy. I have 11 tabs open on Chrome and it's using almost 800MB of memory, but the same exact thing happens with firefox at times which memory usage spikes up with a dozen tabs or so. none of these tabs have any heavy flash or web 2.0, most of them only are text. And of course when this happens I get throttling, both with firefox and chrome.
