I have a e6410 connected to a e/Port Plus. Occasionally, when I dock the laptop and turn it on, the laptop lights come on, the fan comes on but it just sits there. It does not load windows, it does not POST.

The resolution is to shut it off again, wait a few seconds and turn it on, then it's fine.

I've never had this problem unless the computer is newly docked...and I only dock/undock with the computer off.

Anyone know why this happens/experienced this as well?

Have you tried another dock? Also, check to see if there is a BIOS update available from http://support.dell.com.
