The pointing stick on my model causes problems when scrolling left to right; I'd prefer to lock it down to only do it top and bottom.

Also, when I'm scrolling within a document left and right, it hangs up for a second and scrolls around the screen as if it's queued up movements.

Any fixes for these things? This pointing stick is the biggest pain.

I've been having similar issues, and on top of that the stick is a bit too sunken into the keys to give me good grip. The rubber is pretty slippery compared to the harder rubber on TrackPoints. Has anybody found a decent replacement for the stick or maybe some different drivers?
