Contacted Dell...They're going to put new speakers in it. I hate how long this is going to take. 2 weeks without a computer because they sell a faulty product...

I'd suspect the Intel RST background app running in IRRT mode.

The BSOD happens when the user changes the BIOS SATA mode from say IRRT to AHCI AND the system does not have the required AHCI SATA device driver installed... which can happen when the system has been re-imaged by the user and does not have all possible SATA mode drivers installed. The BSOD may not happen with the factory image IF dell did put all possible SATA mode drivers in the installation.

So, the machine is now at Dell getting repaired, and I've been thinking of asking them, while they have it, to upgrade the display.

    A few questions about this:

-Are there any glossy screens I could get to put in this model?
-Do matte screens always have bad viewing angles? (The default that came with it definitely does)
-Does the factory upgraded display (WXGA+ 1440x900) have better angles, or just higher resolution?
-If a panel is the right size and has the right connectors, are there any other requirements for it to work in here?
-Does putting in a new display myself void my warranty?
