I always hit the mouse peg when typing and I never use it anyhow. Any way to disable?

My real question, though, concerns the sudden color shifts that happen seemingly at random. It came out of the box a couple of months ago and perhaps 3-4 weeks ago the color was suddenly washed out. I manually fixed the hue, contrast, etc., (although I couldn't get it back to true normal) but a couple of days later it reverted to washed out. This little game has been going on ever since.

What is going on and how would you recommend trying to fix this? Is there a place to simply restore normal color or do I need to play with it manually every time?

    Thank you.

Dell ControlPoint may have a setting to disable the stick pointer.

Random color shifts while the image is still being executed suggests a hardware failure. Things to try:

o Update the video driver, although I doubt this is it.

o Review the online manual and then reseat the display cable connector(s).

o Run the video tests on the Dell Diagnostics CD.

o Now you are prepared to call Dell.

The option to disable it is on the front page of the touchpad driver options (double-click on the touchpad icon on the task bar).

Which GPU? Update the driver (updates for both the Intel and Nvidia drivers were issued during October). Also make sure you are running the latest BIOS.
