    Hi all,

A guy in work with me has an issue with his XT2
He upgraded to Windows 7 last week and also updated the BIOS to A11 from A02
Win7 works great on the machine, but the issue is when he turns it on,
the BIOS splash screen loads ok and then the machine sits at the Intel Matrix screen for sometimes up to 5 minutes, before windows finally loads.
Once the windows load screen appears it flies along
i've restored the BIOS to default, but no real change.

    Anyone got any idea's?

Anyone at all have any suggestions?

The HDD is set to IRRT and its the only device selected in the boot section.

It looks like something somewhere is searching for SATA devices.

    1. I would switch from IRRT to AHCI (see this thread) unless the IRRT feature is actually being used.

    2. I would uninstall the Intel Matrix Storage software (called Rapid Storage in its latest version).
