Latitude Z600 SSD Upgrade/Add-on Possible

I am getting a Z600 with a 128gb SSD. As far as I know, there is 2 slots for 1.8" drives. I have heard these drives are "slim" style drives, where the don't have the casing. Is it possible to put in a 1.8" HDD in addition to the stock drive, or another SSD? I have seen a lot of people talk about it, but I haven't heard anything confirming it yet. Thanks for your help.

 

I would be interested in knowing this also. just ordered a Z600 from the outlet with the 128GB drive, and while that's enough for now, It would be nice if it could be upgraded once SSDs fall in price.

I know that the Adamo has the slim, Samsung custom drives you're talking about, but unfortunately I have no information for the Z600. Maybe the service manual can help. I haven't had time to go through it.

It can handle 2 -1.8" SSD drives. They are Samsung PM800 microSATA drives. It looks like this.

Without modification, you would probably be forced to use a drive without a housing.
