    Perhaps I should use the term "full discharge" instead of "deep discharge". A full discharge is down to the level where the battery's electronics think it is empty. Windows power management usually shuts the battery down when it has 3% remaining. However, whether that is really 3% remaining needs the occasional discharge down to zero.
