the most important thing about this driver is the GPU accelerated flash video, so good for the new 1080 youtube

look at the changelog for more details.

afhstingray - are you still seeing 1/2 expected battery life?

no- turns out it was firefox eating up CPU for some reason, flash stuff i suspect. after investigating, it cant be the GPU not downclocking because the temps are too low.

This new driver only takes advantage of GPU accelerated flash if you are using the pre-release of flash 10.1.

yes, but judging by the state of flash 10.1 i think the full release should be out relatively soon

I tried out the 195.62 drivers for a few days but have gone back to the 186.21 drivers from the Dell website. The 195 drivers didn't include the performance drivers for the Autodesk programs I use like Autocad 2010. The 195 drivers seemed to function okay, I tried to download and use the new Flash 10.1 beta that has GPU acceleration. That seemed to work on some sites like YouTube (1080p) but on other sites like Revision3 flash stopped working all together. I think that in a few months/weeks when things move along a bit more development wise it will be better. I would recommend sticking with the 186 drivers for anyone that uses Autocad though.
