    @Polarlinks,

    no, A06 does not fix the problem because on my last system it was only introduced by A06. Somehow the new lappy has the same BIOS, hardware and drivers so i really don't have a clue what fixed it. Important thing is though that it just doesn't seem to exist with new system...so good news i think :D

    @RAM

    good idea indeed...i'll run it and see what happens...does that mean staring at the screen to see if something wierd happens?? Lol...gotta make up for lost time on projects already!! ;)

    Hmm...too bad, doesn't work on Vista :( Will have to run it on XP while doing the actual overclocking in vista, still no sure results then i'm afraid

    Guess i was really getting my hopes up too early. Both the downclocking at 105c and the stuck fan at 100% are back :( Didn't have any of it before on the replacement system but all of a sudden it's happening again!! I really hope it was somehow solved with newer built systems....too bad

    Have you tried downgrading to the A03 BIOS?

    Yeah A03 fixes it, it's just that i was hoping it was somehow non-existent in newer systems as i didn't have the problem until yesterday. I did do some gaming before that but just now the problems were there again.

    Hi, I've got a brand new m4400, with A06, and the problems are there :( I'm calling Dell next week and see what comes out of that.

    A09 is out, i just installed it with the dcp updates, dcp is responsive now and not sluggish anymore.

    a02,a03,a06 downclocked for me, a06 had more problems like fan stays on full power until reboot, downclocks were faster, etc. I will report later about a09 and intensive gpu work to see if the downclocks still occur.

    Clearly downclocks still, lets see if the fan ever stops now.

    seems that since a06 the fan is constant and never stops
