m4400 - upgrade to 1066mhz ram?

    Just to make sure I'm good to go. As long as it is a fairly good name brand, it looks like they all have about the same spec of 5-5-5-15 with a couple at 4-4-4-12, should be no problem? Question - Why do some SODIMMS have 8 chips(?) on each side and some have 4? Is one better than the other? Let me word that different - Would my Dell M4400 like one better than the other? I say thatbecause it seems like there is always a comment somewhere about how picky a Dell is about memory. Thanks

    There will be no issues. Just pick memory from any company that gives you lifetime warranty. Don't worry about any other numbers, specifications are mostly marketing and won't be any different. Number of chips just indicates density. Typically, newer ones will have less chips, as each chip has more capacity (denser).
