Here they say the M6600 won't have the IPS option at launch, maybe later....

It is probably a trend Apple started with their iMacs (Source: here and here).

Just specced up a M6600 on Dell.co.uk with everything I'd like. GBP 4,333 + VAT. That is less than I was expecting, but still too much, so time to figure out what I actually need...

Has anyone been able to configure his M6600 with an SSD minicard as the 1st (boot) drive, plus RAID 0 consisting of 2x large, 7200 HDDs? Only 2 drive choices are available, with the second one being "none" or 128/256 GB SSD to match the other SSD, if chosen as the 1st drive (no another 7200 one available)...

    Or am I missing sth?

I hit the site and spec'd one out at 2900 euro. Don't load up on memory or high end drives. Do all of that aftermarket, get the good stuff cheaper. I especially avoided the Blu-ray solution Dell's is expensive and slow. Surely there is a Dell optical caddy that will hold an aftermarket blu-ray like Panasonic uj240 which is 6x instead of 2x.
There are better SSD availables aftermarket and better minidrives as well for less money.
