    Probably this:

    1 0G2TC Module,Palmrest,CTSC,SWIPEFP,M6600

That's probably the number for the whole palmrest, and the other information after the number describes it, with SWIPEFP referring to the fingerprint reader.

    Just my not-so-educated guess :D

Thank you, you found it :)

And what about SSD disk ? Is it mSATA or regular SSD ? And do you know which kind of 750GB 7200rpm HDD Dell uses and which kind of 128GB SATA2 SSD they are using for Dell M6600 ?

Mine was a refurbished so I've just bought what was in stock.

Should be part of the Palmrest part that says W/SWIPE.

That will tell you it comes with a swipe fingerprint scanner.

    Good evening to all.
Is it possible to fit an mxm 3b Nvidia 560gtx m on the M6600?
If so,what would be the equivalent quadro card?
    Thanks

All being well I will get my M6600 on Monday. I have purchased a 256 Corsair Sata III SSD and a 1TB backup drive which I will put in the hotswap bay. Can anyone in here suggest a decent backup software other than Acronis 2012 that is sub £100UKP? What is the Dell backup stuff like? I have yet to find anyone that has used it, do it nackup to localhost?

I think I also heard the 128GB SSD drive is an mSATA drive?

Yes. 128GB Solid State Drive option is the mSATA drive.

Yes, thermal transfer pads (Dell P/N - UP755) or good quality paste would be the only consumable that would need to be replaced. Make sure to clean the heat sink of any existing thermal compound and also confirm the top of the CPU is also clean with no dust, dirt, grease, or other contaminate. Then apply your thermal pad or paste and reassemble making sure you tighten the heat sink fasteners ONLY until they are snug and secure (i.e. do not force them tighter after they want to stop).

Again, take your time do not overdo it on the paste if you go that route (thin and even coverage [1mm thick] is always better than heavy uneven piles of goop). Lastly, double check your cable connections and screw holes to insure everything is connected and secured once again.
