OK, late night update. I just started comparing our two M6600 tonight, and yep, we have a problem. Both are touch screen, #1 M6600 works fine, just a nice and easy touch moves windows around.

M6600 # 2 requires a much harder touch to move anything, way to hard. I had to hold the lid with one hand while touching with the other. Not acceptable at all.
I'm also getting a symbol of a mouse flash on the screen near where I'm touching, when I touch a window.
I did not get this at all with the first M6600
I'll be calling in to dell tomorrow for sure. And yeah, I did the calibration steps first.

When I opened up my M6600 for the first time I had this strange looking sticker in the middle of the right hand side of the palm rest. It is all grey with a squareish border and what looks like a sunburst in it. I assume it should have been stuck next to the other two as there is a faint taint of glue. Is this Dells wau of saying it has a fingerprint reader or does it represent something else?
Also I had in my mind that I was going to get a touch pad stylus with the machine. Since there is such a small amount of information available on these machines I obviously missunderstood. I am sure I saw some advertising video showing someone using a stylus on the touchpad. Any ideas?
    regards

Thanks for that, I need to find this out as I looked at this site and there are sata 3 msata cards. Runcore mSATA Pro V Mini SATA-III SSD | Active Media Products
Does this mean that the M6600 msata is only Sata 2. It seems to me that contacting Dell about technical issues is fraught with danger as twice they have given me duff gen.

Make sure to update the Bios and all Drivers. If you did your own install from scratch, install chipset -> Intel Video Drivers -> Nvidia Drivers in that order.

I run Optimus all the time with no issues, but you probably run software that I do not.

wow, just wow. I just had a chat session with Dell. The guy kept asking me the same questions, then at the end, he closed the session . I'll be contacting Dell about this rudeness. Luckily, I have the chat log

That sucks. I had bad luck with support yesterday. I called to get my warranty updated and got transferred 4 times. Took almost an hour to get to the right department.

I did run into a great guy at tech support named Jim who got me in contact with a level 2 tech support person. Much better.

I called into dell. and they are sending out a tech tomorrow to replace the panel. Dell tells you not to stack laptops with touch screens, so IMO, there is a good chance the damage happened when they shipped it updside down. Upside down shipping , I still can't wrap my head around that one...
