    Hi all,

Finally my E6400 laptop has been shipped.
I have some questions regarding it.

The estimated arrival time at Dell site is: 9/14/2009
Is this accurate? or I should check the time listing in the carrier site?
I thought the shipping should take 3-5 days.

    I ordered a system with back-lit keyboard
I have this line in the order:
    Module,Keyboard,83,United States,English,Black,EMDB World Wide

    Is this specifies it?

    Thanks

If you have specific questions regarding your order, you are best off calling Dell Customer Service. The best we can do is guess.

Eventually, you should be able to obtain a tracking # which will be the most accurate way you have of monitoring the delivery.

It would be nice if someone who ordered a E6400 with a back-lit keyboard
could write down the order detail for it?

I'm afraid I did not get the back-lit keyboard.

    thanks

Dell customer service should also be able to confirm that for you. You can even use their online chat if calling isn't convenient.

What are my options if my system has already been shipped with
a regular keyboard instead of back-lit keyboard?

I should not sign on the shipping papers and the system will return back to Dell?
what about getting a refund for all this trouble?

please give me the link to chat with Dell customer service.
I've been told they can only be contacted by phone.

I would, but Dell's web site appears to be down at the moment. :) (Retuning 503 service unavailable.)

Just follow the links from www.dell.com once it comes back up - it is usually easy enough to find.

You have 20 days to return the laptop if you are not satisfied. Dell pays return shipping. I suggest to contact Dell Consumer Representative, and explain your situation if you the keyboard is wrong. They will build you a new system, and send it to you. All you will have to do is return the old one (you have 10 days). Dell pays all shipping charges for you. You will receive via e-mail a return label.

Or they MAY, at your request, send you a new keyboard (as it's easy to change), with a technician to replace it in front of you, at the next business day. Of course, you need Next Business Day On site service.

Is this all valid for a refurbished system?
The probelm is that I'm not from the US and I ship the package to my uncle in US. so I have to coordinate all with him.

    Bummer
