My M6500 cant got ram bus 1600 even cpu 920xm???

    i confirm, you are right, i tryed this KHX1600C9S3K2/8GX today and amazing, bus 1600 mhz active and then i removed them, put pnp ram back the first time when i start laptop, it's still bus 1600 but restart it come back 1333, hic, :((. i bought pnp ram and cant return, now the problem, how can i active bus 1600 profile in my pnp ram? help me pls.

    Here are the specs for the ram you tried first (KHX1600C9S3P1K2/8G).

    PnP JEDEC TIMING PARAMETERS:

    • DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9 @1.5V
    • DDR3-1333 CL8-8-8 @1.5V
    • DDR3-1066 CL6-6-6 @1.5V

    That profile (1600) is already included, but the Dell BIOS doesn't appear to support that speed for PNP Memory. I guess you might be able to have the ram reprogrammed for that profile only, but you have a good chance of ruining the RAM, or having the laptop still not recognize it anyway.

    Note from Kingston: PnP implementation is only possible in configurations that include a BIOS that supports the PnP function. Your maximum speed will be determined by your BIOS.

    Honestly, I'd either resell the RAM or hang on to it for another laptop.
