    You quite often get to see leaked benchmarks from the likes of autodesk and other software vendors who obviously get pre release models to test with their software, I haven't seen anything for a M4500, no point in asking every day, when someone sees something they're sure to let us know.

    Now that Lenovo's going 16:9 on the ThinkPads, which were the last bastion of 4:3 for the longest time, I wouldn't be so sure. The ThinkPads are staying matte, but Dell would be almost alone if they stayed 16:10.

    On the other hand, if Dell did go 16:10 and ATI, they'd stand out, with Lenovo and HP both switching from ATI to nVIDIA across much of the midrange, and Lenovo at least going to 16:9. I'm actually surprised Lenovo/HP are going nVIDIA on the business laptops at this point, but if ATI has a weak point it is the workstation/CAD/Quadro-type cards. Mobility FireGL or whatever they're called now just don't have the range of offerings Quadro does.

    I do agree they don't offer the range of graphic cards for workstations the way Nvidia does, but i think it would be radical and shock people if they offer for the consumer to choose what they want to pick, they did it with the m6400.

    This might be doing 1 + 1 = 15 but go round the Dell US, UK and DE stores. The M4400 has 25% off in all of them expiring at [unspecified], 31/01 and 15/02 respectively.
    The options available also seem to be pretty limited (things like the WWAN card have disappeared).

    Clearing out for a new one sometime next month maybe?

    The Dell site.

    Taking the UK store as an example, there's a discount and then a voucher code to enter for another 10% off. Thus, the three configurations listed are:
    £1129 -> £140 off -> £989 -> 10% off = £98.90 -> £890.10 = 21.1% off the original price
    £1234 -> £155 off -> £1079 -> 10% off = £107.90 -> £971.10 = 21.3%
    £1413 -> £214 off -> £1199 -> 10% off = £119.90 -> £1079.10 = 23.6%

    Not quite 25% (I was just roughly working it out in my head before) but near enough.
