There is no configurable screen and the tech specs don't say other than "HD" which most people use for 1366x768.

Has anyone been able to confirm the screen resolution on the new Vostro 2500 series or 3400?

Any idea on how long it takes them to make it a bit more configurable?

    3400 - 14.0-inches (1366x768)
    3500 - 15.6-inches (1366x768)

When you configure it, look on the right hand side, there will be a ship by date. They are usually somewhat accurate.

    This laptop is very attractive.
I really wonder when the screen resolution will go up. I just can't wait for that to happen :)

"when"? What makes you think it will? I mean, I would love for that, and I would buy one in a second, but is there any indication that they will do that? Do they ever add higher res later?

Typically Dell releases specific configurations at huge markups when they first release a laptop to the blind followers (Did the same on the Studio series, new i7 versions of the inspirons/studios etc.) Then eventually they half the price (1-2 later) but give you many options (including resolution changes) that get you back up to that $1000 option.

Usually Dell Singapore or India sites are good indications of what future options will be available but those websites do not show any configurable differences at the moment.

I have no idea about the India's market... but i am sure that DELL Singapore is not really a preferred site in the Asian Pacific region for checking out on new releases.

    Try HongKong or Australia better.
