It's a big difference in video games. If games aren't a deal breaker for you it's fine.

If you do a fair amount of gaming, yes. Otherwise no.

I don't expect to do much gaming. Nothing that would involve an amazing amount of graphical power, that is.

XGA is a pretty low resolution for a 15" laptop. That's the same res that 12" laptops use. Try to get wxga+ or 1440 x 900. I think that's the ideal resolution.

Only thing I would change is the Dell Wireless 1395 802.11g Wi-Fi Internal Card, I would go with the Intel Wireless card instead.
    Otherwise it looks good.

The T8100 Penryn Processor is only $50 more. IMO that's a worthwhile upgrade. It's faster and runs cooler than the Merom processors.

I went for the 1500 partly for price and also over build and speaker quality over the 1510. Only trouble is, I haven't received it yet after ordering almost 3 weeks ago..ship date has been pushed back to the 17th now!

(On a side note, in a way, I'm pleased. It gives me more time to decide on whetehr I want the 1535 instead which should be announced very soon)

That's strange since mine was shipped much earlier than estimated. I ordered on 5/20, shipped on 5/26, received on 5/28.

That is a very quick delivery time.
I ordered when the system was being offered at the $494 low price..only really changed out the wireless card to Intel...maybe that caused the delay.
