    Hi. I've got a precision m6500 with 2 x USB3 ports on the left and 2 x USB2 ports on the right.

To make the computer see my USB3 external drive, I had to enable USB3 in the BIOS. Since I did this however, the USB3 ports no longer recognise my USB2 card reader. I disabled USB3 again, and the ports then see the card reader. Enabled USB3 again, and they no longer see it.

Anyone know why when USB3 is enabled the ports no longer see USB2 devices properly??

    Thanks in advance

Thats odd...silly as it sounds, it may not be backwards compatible for some reason...
