    Just calculate what u could have saved with stayimg with the 500gb and upgrading later.

    Is the SSD a mSATA? What brand? How do u like it?

    Like everyone else, my system doesn't arrive until June. I guess I should have done more research; I didn't know I could upgrade the mini sata by myself, so I only planned to upgrade the secondary harddrive.

    How much does a 120gb msata SSD go for?

    So I assume from what I'm reading that if you have the 256GB SSD from dell in your original order, if you later want to add another SSD you have to put it in the msata port (in lieu of the DVD drive)? Is that the only open space?

    nope. Ou can also put it in the DVD bay.
