    Are these CPU's supported T8100, T8300, T9300?

Ya, best value is T8100/T8300. Not much difference going to a T9300. More cache = run hotter, and with T8x00 you already got Penryn.

I'm checking out a T8100 for $27.99 with free shipping. I contacted the seller because he listed the CPU as used but he describes it as new. I may get that one as it's half the cost of a used T8300 and the performance of the two are pretty close.

    Let's see, I've upgraded:
    Ram from 1GB to 4GB
    HD from 120GB to 500GB
    CPU from 1.6GHZ to T9500 at 2.6GHZ
Video from 8400 to 8600. (and overclocked the hell out of it)

Now running TF2 and Portal 2 at high settings with no problems.
Fallout Vegas still needs some tweaking. It automatically goes to high but
I need to cut down the settings just a tad. (cloaking things makes my
    computer cry)

I'm due for a new laptop but finances say "no" until everything else is paid off.

What resolution are you running? Source games got a big boost for me going to the 8600M GT alone but the card is getting quite old. Intel HD 3000 almost beats 8600M GT, but the DGPU wins when the resolution is cranked up.

It'll have to do for now.
