The designs for the Latitude are definitely... interesting. Not to my appeal.

The Precision's like up are still looking kick .

Rounded, child-safe corners may work on some products, but on the Latitude it makes it look like a toy, especially when you combined that with the large border around the screen,

Am I missing something? Thought the Precisions basically looked the same as their previous iteration, the only difference is that the M4600 now looks like a miniature M6600(which is basically just a 16:9 M6500?)

I have shown the pics of the E6420 around my enterprise and the universal reaction is one of shock, but once people get to looking at it they like it.

We are not used to dell changing the Latitude laptops so much in the middle of the a series. The D series did not change much look wise.(except for the change from 4:3 to 16:10 screens) Indeed you really have to look at a D600/D610 D620/D630 to tell them apart at a glance. The C series did not change all that much. So now we have Dell with this shocker in the middle of a series. The changes may be good, but enterprise level purchasers don't like shocking changes. I have not seen any docking solutions for the E6420 but dell has a pretty much binding promise not to change those around for 5 years. I have seen pics of the dock connector. So now we have these laptops with their silver and curves, and the docks with thier black angular construction.

agreed with most aspect. personally all around, the design change is not so successful. maybe their new concept design is to be all roundy, as shown from xps line and such, but to be honest that latitude seriously looks like a new inspiron that just came out
