I just got in after a long day out. Should have more time tomorrow.

So the Bluetooth icon on the upper left of the M6400 keyboard is lit to indicate that the WUSB is working. I thought the Bluetooth symbol was strictly used for Bluetooth, and when lit, Bluetooth was active ...

It just means that the BT radio is turned on. It doesn't mean your OS knows anything about it.

Installed the driver, as you indicated, Dell designation R226750 and problem solved!

    More specifically:
    Dell Wireless 370 Bluetooth Minicard
    Release Date: 11/4/2009
    Version: 6.2.0.9600, A01
    Download Type: Application
    File Format: Hard Drive
    File Size: 61 MB

Bluetooth Radios now shows in Device Manager and connecting Droid X and headset was straight forward.

What threw me off was no driver error, and new Dell Client System Update not detecting anything was missing, and the WUSB Dell 410 was working. Not to mention many other distractions.

    Many thanks for your assistance.
