    Same thing happened to me guys, today morning it moved to 22 and I got shipping number by noon. Maybe you guys will get by late evening or by tomorrow.
    It Ships from NASHVILLE, TN. Most laptops must have reached USA from china over the weekend.

    So yeah Dec 22 is very likely..

    Nothing here either. After the first order was broken in their system and they processed the re-order, the order date was marked as the 29th of Nov.

    they wont even give me a new ETA, nor will they tell whats the problem. But theyve had my momey for 3 weeks already.
    i think i might need to seek the FTC's help.

    also now theyre saying "i see that the order is on production hold" ... again... the F*ck

    USA/oled also? dell messaged me on Saturday to let me know my order has left the manufacture and today they told me to "Kindly disregard the update on Saturday, that must have been an error as the order hasn't begun it's shipping stage"

    i dont understand how they un-shipped it o_O

    i dont think Frank is doing a very good job on being on top of Alienware, dell is going to make him lose so many buyers

    Yes, on one hand Azor is saying all will ship this week, and Dell cares tells me the part shortage will be fixed at least on the 25th of January. I have waited impatiently for a month already, and another month of wait plus processing and shipping time...I am really thinking of dropping the order now, although I wanted this laptop so badly. This is how a good product will still drive potential customers away, and I believe I'm not alone.

    Yes sir, USA/OLED. They've confirmed my orders, built them, disassembled them, cancelled them, re-built them, taken them apart, built them again. It would be funny if it weren't so sad. Alienware was also crazy late to the Pascal party, to have all of this on top of that is just... I have no words.

    I also don't think Frank is doing a very good job with Alienware. He's spread too thin, he's trying to basically manage all of Alienware *and* XPS globally and what he really needs is the right talent to manage pieces of that for him. Like why is it that to get something resembling decent support, we need to use Twitter to get to him directly? It's absurd. No doubt, the same thing is happening internally with him being the bottleneck on everything because either there is no proper delegation going on or a lack of talent that can't solve stuff without bringing it to him.

    i know there is some systems already at dell's local warehouse, like hawk10eye. those are being shipped out to customers this week.
    but the orders like mine are barely being shipped from the manufacturer(from china i think), and then however long it stays in texas before the ship it to me

    Received my ship notice this afternoon! Arriving Wednesday..

    Ordered 11/25

    The "standard" OLED model - only upgraded to Win 10 Pro and Killer 1535 Wifi.

    Still wish you owners would share more pictures. I plan to do a nice side by side with my current Surface Book. Only wish the PSU on this thing wasn't so huge.

    My order status says shipped but no tracking information yet. EDD is updated to December 22nd, even though I chose express overnight delivery. Order was placed on December 1st.

    I actually have no idea, but I'm not US based. For Canadian orders there are a few more stages on the order page,confirmed-preproduction-production-shipped. Mine is at production for a few weeks now, and Dell never really told me anything aside from a part shortage for the "LCD" (I have OLED). I am not sure if they ship from USA to Canada or straight from China like the UK orders.

    Why was orders being held by dell? Only main issue with this current release is the Intel card needs to be disabled to keep stuttering down during games?

    The hold-up was part OLED, part battery issues (the maintenance/factory mode thing where it wasn't charging over 60%), part order system going crazy and cancelling orders. Plus possibly other stuff we don't know.

    You do not need to disable the Intel card to prevent stuttering in games, it does not stutter in games because the NV card is working then. Only stutters when switching from Intel to NV and back, this happens on the desktop because of some sort of drivers/Windows issue that hasn't been fixed for months (happens in other 1060 notebooks, e.g. MSI GS43).

    I think Dell had a shortage of the OLED panels. Unfortunately that's what everyone was excited about and ordered.

    Two-week old system [I think I used it on battery maybe 4-5 times this far] now has the battery wear off level at 10.1% [!]

    Thats worrying, i had a similar issue when i had my 15r3 it was 4% out the box, i messaged AW support they said it was sometimes normal to show that amount of wear out the box and to message them agin with my tag number if it got much worse, it went upto 10% in the week i had it, messaged again still said it was normal and probably bedding in! / returned.

    Have a Gigabyte Aero 14 now just to compare had just over a week been running on battery every day (8hours on battery) until empty 0% wear out the box and still at 0%, so somethings not right with your AW i think?

    So I just turned on fan performance mode and the fans became crazy loud, and remain that way the whole time. Basically it's louder than my ceiling fan, doesn't matter if I'm gaming or the system is sitting idle with nothing open.

    Is it supposed to be this loud?

    Hah wow thanks for the heads up on this. I also had my AW 13 for 2 weeks, just checked the wear level with batteryInfoView and it's at 82%!! Designed capacity 76,000 mWh, full charged capacity 62,305.

    Which software are you using to check your wear level?

    I have noticed a low battery life, I guess this one will have to be returned.

    I need a aMD gpu for Alienware and a OC CPU for have fun ;D

    Unfortunately no delivery for me today.
    Syncreon sent it out too late so didn't get to my local hub in time for delivery today.
    Stated that it 'Might' get delivered tomorrow!
    Said no offence mate, but your taking the piss now......also asked for expedited shipping but said it would be at my cost!
    is there no end to this madness? Haha.....

    Told him to sort it out, as they are not sticking to the delivery date stated in the shipping email.
    Was told I would get a call back in an hour to see what's going on.

    (the hub is only 20-30mins away as well, I'd go myself if I drove!)

    I decided to turn back my Alienware 13 R3. The Hardware is Awesome, but there are too many SW/Driver flaws which I cannot accept at this price point. And I'm not comfortable to wait that some of them "maybe" fixed in the future. That's just too risky.

    Problems I had.
    - Lag/Stutter in Windows (Optimus switching Issue), annoying at least for such a powerfull machine.
    - Stutter/"low refresh rate" on an external monitor. Full reboot with ext. Monitor attached solves this for some time. But reappears sometimes
    - No fullscreen video possible on external Monitor.

    Most of the comming from optimus I think (Driver Issues). I really liked the Laptop REALLY. So can somebody tell me, if this issues still occur with the IPS Panel version, where you can switch "fully" to the dGPU (nvidia) or I maybe eben would have to go for the 15 R3 with GSYNC to avoid some of these?
    Had somebody else here Problems with external monitors like me?

    Config I hab: OLED, 512GB SSD, 32GB RAM, 6700HQ

    Gaming on external monitor worked OK. Desktop use no, constant stutter/tearing and no fullscreen video. Fresh install/driver updates nothing helped. Seems also to bee problems with optimus to some kind, because internal display is still iGPU and external monitor is always nvidia.

    Programming and documentation, therefore I always use external monitor at home. Also some video and photo editing. But even surfing the web is a pain in this config.

    I did it with my old AW 14 but the battery lost 6% of its capacity in 3 months. They sent it to me by post and i had to change it by myself.

    I can confirm that this fix work: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/860554/geforce-mobile-gpus/windows-10-and-optimus/14/

    Download the exe file and run it on startup, remember to deactivate any changes you made to the nvidia control panel. This file overrides windows 10 so that nvidia gpu is prefered. I didnt notice any battery drain either using this easy exe fix. But like i said reset any changes you did in nvidia controll panel.

    Also talking to dell, they are looking into this problem and I also gave them the solution. Again this is a Windows 10/Nvidia/Intel problem, not a hw issue!!!

    Edit: Just to be clear, I am talking about the stutter issues!
