I'm interested to see your results.

@DannyB513 said he averaged between 110-120 FPS with ultra settings on 1080p with stock CPU/GPU. I should try mine on 1080p to see if I'm getting similar.

    1) Make sure the files is not blocked by following this guide:

"Are you sure you want to run this file?" [Yes or No]

    2) Make sure you disable your Antivirus and exit all other programs that are running in the background from task manager

I just did the division 2 benchmark on 1080p on ultra.

Got 91 fps with 94% gpu usage and 91% cpu usage. Thats with the 9700k+2080 everything stock

Interesting, I wonder why my CPU usage was only 68% when running it at 1440p/ultra. Could it be the -75 undervolt?

I was actually suprised it got that high, because when just playing the game normally it barely hits 50% usage

Unfortunately, that will have to wait until I get home; I forgot Division 2 requires network access. (I understand how ironic that sounds as I post this on the internet.)

Trying to figure out now why in Throttlestop if I have all cores set to run 5.0 or 5.1 all cores show they are only running 4888.60.

    Any thoughts?

Did you make any changes to the hardware after you received it? Have you tried re-seating the memory? Have you looked up the beep codes? There are different beep codes for what is keeping the computer running.

BTW, I always disable sleep on every laptop I get, can't stand it. I also set closing the lid to do nothing (except turn off the screen). I am notorious for starting something, then needing to pick up my laptop and move elsewhere. I set the power button to hibernate on short press in case I find myself in a situation where I want to conserve power while it's packed away and I have something left open. If I want it shutdown, I shut it down. You can program a key on your keyboard to do this.

Lower cpu usage is better than high cpu usage means your cpu doesn’t bottleneck the performance. I don’t see the need playing games with 2080 on 1080p, 1440p is sweat spot imo.
How long gameplay is that? If it’s like an hour it’s is great.

Its 20mins. 10 to heat up and then 10 to Log. But this setting has done 10h Division 2, 6h Metro and 2h BFV. So i think it can not be far away from stable ;)

Any news on toasted system problems? My order just got delayed for the second time. I've ordered on 13/3 with delivery estimate on 04/04 and now changed for 06/05. I really doubt this is because of part shortage. I belive that dell is trying to figure out how to fix this problems. And for me, i have to figure out how to control my anxiety for another month waiting. :)

First, there is the forum member who switched-out a CPU, and was told by Dell that he was not eligible for tech support. Now this.

If all of what I'm hearing is true, then Dell AND Azor have pulled a fast one, twice, three times: first, by hyping this machine as the world's first this and that, when it isn't; second, by promising upgradeability, when doing so voids warranties; and third, by making a crappy product that wasn't ready for prime time and is failing in all sorts of ways.

I mean, my antennae went up as soon as I heard the A51M only supported 2400 RAM speeds...with a "promise" of increased speeds coming in the future. REALLY?? It boggles my mind that the machine didn't have the capability to accommodate faster RAM speeds/XMP profiles OUT OF THE BOX! A half-baked product at best.

I'm calling B.S. on the whole A51M launch. Nice try, Dell and Azor - but for many of your customers, your wares are leaving behind a bitter after-taste..AND A BURNT SMELL!!

I think you all have unrealistic expectations of the performance with 9700k and 9900k. Even in my dancase with a 92mm AIO water cooler my 9900k puts out similar cinebench scores. I think the the amount of performance and cooling offered by this chassis is quite impressive.

My only gripe is the missed opportunity to really elevate the 2060 to 2070 to desktop performance levels.

Why not just cancel at this point? You can always rebuy down the road. The deals are only gonna get better.

And it is merely a gripe to me as well as I've found that my 2070 a51m can play things that the 2070mq m15 I returned couldn't even boot. I didn't have it long enough to troubleshoot those issues, but this a51m runs them all right out of the gate. And the games the m15 did play, this a51m runs better. It was more of a difference than I was expecting and am really happy I made the switch so far.

The maxq variants are a huge joke this generation with a huge gap in performance, your essentially going down a tier in performance, a 2070 maxq is barely better than 2060 mobile. Not the mention the mobile full 2060/2070/2080 versions are already underperforming from their desktop counterparts which is why its so impressive the area51m 2080 is able to get near full desktop level performances. Now the pascal laptop cards were nearly equal to their desktop counterparts.

It's up to you, but if you know this is the machine you want, you might as well let your order ride. You can always cancel at any time if you do find something else or if there is a deal worth cancelling for. However, if you cancel now, you give up your place in line and who knows how long the wait will be if you rebuy.

In some laptops such as my AW15R3 the 1070 pascal card is even on par with an EVGA 1080GTX FTW edition board.

This new gen is definitely a step backwards when it comes to laptops. Or more, there is barely any improvement except for the 51M. After 2 years of waiting you expect more performance.

Hahaha they finally figured out that they were under charging for this model variant n00aw51m11 in the UK, for the same price they've removed the 2080 and put a 2070 in its place, too bad for them my order was already in ;)

Still can;t get over they don;t have the Lunar White with a UK keyboard such a gutting fail.

    Update for us 2060/2070 owners.

Frank tweeted back at me about updating the TDP of the 2060/2070, and said Joe is currently working on them!

This is good news and I hope we get a decent performance boost when the update releases!

No idea when they'll be released, just that they are currently working on it.

    Woo!

Yeah the 9700k does run cooler than the 9900k. I had a 9700k and now a 9900k. The 9900k is pretty bad binned. 4,7 is all i'm getting out it and with demanding games temps go up to 95 /100. If i undervolt its in the 85 range.

    With the 9700k stock i was getting 80 / 85 while gaming.

The new Alienware flagship fitted with a 5mm narrower screen to allow for a slightly thinner bezel. So no QHD or UHD. And apparently no FHD panels in stock either ?

In the meantime the keyboard area looks positively stupid with the macro and numeric keypad keys almost falling off the sides. IMHO of course :)

The Vindicator is not made for the Area-51m and due to that, when you put the laptop it fits very snugly to the point where the edge protection isn't effective anymore. There is only 1 backpack made for the Area-51m!

All these delays and heat issues are making me want my i7/2070 system back lol (and also the news that they are working on upping the tdp for 2070's). Really killing me not having a laptop... sigh. Not sure what I'm going to do. I wish they were more transparent on the order status pages. Lol, would it be unethical to buy the open box for $300 less? :p They have two of them open box... I'm sure one was mine (From microcenter).

When I undervolt in the command center it doesn't seem to save, when I undervolt in XTU it says to reboot and when I do it says it cannot be applied. only applied a modest -100mv, any ideas?
