    Guys !

My unit is finally going back to me so i can grab my parts that i left when i sent the unit to repair !

    Then i'll receive a 0 $/€ invoice to validate and i'll receive a new & fresh unit !

Things are moving... and i've to admit Dell Premium Support was very understanding with my particular case...

So then.. i got one question : can someone sum me up what happened recently ? do we know if the issue is fixed with the new units&revision (new mosfet,...) ? did some units died recently with those new revisions (or old ?) ?

Do we have some fresh and good news ?

Many thanks to you ! ;)

That's great news. Dell have their hiccups once in a while but they always deliver, at least as far as i am concerned. Did they let you keep you primary hard drive? They had done this for me multiple times.
In terms of burning issue, one user here reported that the mosfet has been upgraded and they recommend to check for the updated Mosfet on the GPU although it has not be confirmed explicitly. You can find his post few pages back.
Good luck and keep us updated.

Alright thanks man. I think I'll go with these. Lifetime warranty as well.

These will run at 2400MHz at CL16 timing. They will run at 2666MHz when and if they release the update for the BIOS.

That would def explain it. I remember choosing UK keyboard, but then went back to change to lunar white. I dont think I'll struggle with a US keyboard layout, just take some getting used to.

They said the replacement would arrive by tomorrow, but don’t think that’s happening. Anyone else know if this order status page is accurate?

It's pretty accurate. I wouldn't expect it to come within the time frame they gave you. Mine came like 3 weeks after the time line they gave me..

Maybe it's going to leave the China factory Friday? If so, it should come within a week after that, as it still has to go to the Dell depot, then ship to you.

I placed my order two days ago and just saw that the configurator today changed the wireless card option from the Killer 1550 to the Killer 1650. My order sheet shows the 1550, so . . . anyone have any idea if they'll automatically use the 1650 when building mine given that I placed my order so recently and it's probably not built yet?

Shouldn’t it go directly from China to my address ? They have till the 7th according to the date. If it’s not here, I’ll refuse it and move on. I’m at the point of 0 tolerance right now lol. The order status says arriving latest the 7th, that has to mean arriving to me and not dell.

Unfortunately not, it goes from the
China factory, to the Dell factory, to your house. They probably so this for "QC" purposes.

Yeah I feel ya, hopefully it does come soon, but dont give your hope's up.

In that case I may just cancel and refund; I only have a couple days left for the HID return policy, I wouldn’t have time to wait for dell to process this. By then it will be too late then I’m stuck with a paperweight that is outside of the return policy.

Have you contacted dell? It might be in "shuttle" they call it. Which is where it comes across the water in a 747 airplane. Mine went to "shuttle" Monday and shipped yesterday from Tenn.

If I had Area 51M I would try what removing DPTF does to CPU, but only with proper undervolt though not to blow things up. And at max. fans during testing.

Dell contacted me back and is now giving me the usual BS. It’s still in production yet they told me I’d get it this week. Man....I really regret getting into this system! Now I have to decide if I cancel and return to HID or chance it and miss my return period

My concern is though, look at the image I posted above, it says parts only (valid for 1 year) then the extension is for the on-site service. does that mean that they only upgraded the on site tech visit plan and the parts are not covered or what? This is confusing. I did email them but won't get a reply until Sunday or Monday

They also call accidental warranty something strange, forget exactly what it's called as I'm not on my machine at the moment.

I’m not happy with HIDevolution. First they forgot to ship the elite backpack I ordered . I also ordered through the sales rep a second set of power bricks and they sent me 240w instead of 330w. It’s going cost me $150 just to ship it back. They blamed me for ordering the wrong brick but I ordered through the rep and chose the wrong one. Why would I order 240w brick????. Doesn’t give much faith on how the repaste if they can screw on simple things. I’m just going return it.

I tried to do that, I installed all of the intel updates an I still cant read any external HD that I plug into the thunderbolt port. I have been on the phone with DELL about this and they told me they would replace my motherboard etc. Its a brand new computer and I really dont understand why this would be happening to me right now. Not really something I want to do because I feel like its not needed, everything else is working perfect. Why is it that my thunderbolt drive is the only thing that is giving me problems, is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Is anyone else experiencing any thunderbolt port issues? I am trying to plug in a simple adapter to a SSD and its not reading anything, when I plug it into any of my other computers the drives register and MYPC can read them. This is more than frustrating considering I paid 5k for this computer.

Has anyone tried to hook up an adapter to an external SSD yet? If so what are you find out. Thunderbolt should read all the drives. Is there a BIOs setting that I am missing or something, this shouldnt be the case I dont see why they would lock that in BIOs on factory settings. Super frustrated, any support would be appreciated, thank you.

Never have had a problem with running either of my Sandisk Extreme 2TB SSD's, although they run on USB 3.1 through USB-C connection through the port, not TB.
