Wow. December. What a delay. I really got that itchy feeling that it's because of that dual laser technology. It's more complex than any other mouse than they have right now. I was really hoping to purchase it before the month went out. Time to buy something else in the mean time (my current mouse, a logitech notebook mouse, has short or something in the cable where it connects to the usb plug so the mouse goes in and out of being dectected. Lame.)

I'll live with my mx700 for a tad longer...
It's just so huge for traveling but, meh -
Well, today CompUSA changed their webpage for the V400 from "Coming Soon" to "Sold Out!". Does that mean they actually had some for about 5mS?
-
LOL!
Since 'In Stock!' was never shown, they could of just thought it was gonna come..
Someone email/phone up Logitech -
I did call logitech's toll free number while in class like a week ago.... they said it would be released mid december
-
Ack...
Oh well, I guess December it is... -
I called today while I was at work and Pam the sales/info person said November.
-
Well november sounds a whole lot better then december.
Klepzeiker what ever happined to u buying one... did u get it?
-
I'm just gonna sit back down and relax for a bit...
Ugh...heh -
Looks like November 7th or 8th, according to several suppliers. So I guess we'll all have to hang on for a couple of weeks. CompUSA, by the way, went back to "Coming Soon" from "Sold Out".
-
I think the real reason it has been delayed so much is so that Logitech could churn out there other mice. Didn't want to flood the market too much I guess.
-
The mouse is available in the Netherlands. I got it today at dynabyte (Alkmaar).
M. -
I didn't buy it.
I tested it but the mouse is still to small for me, and only availible in orange.
I wanted the grey one.
I already have the V500 but is also too small and i can't get used to the "scrollwheel".
So i now bought the MX610 for home, and the V500 for traveling. -
Ahh!!
I want them here too!!! -
OK, can I ask - Excluding the extra buttons which I can't see myself using much (well, maybe...I never used a multi-button mouse much), is this thing going to be much better than the 1000dpi V270? I'm not keen on the USB dongle, but from what I've read BT has some limitations in the refresh rate, but I don't play really fast-paced FPS on my laptop (some BF2 and AOE3, mostly), so I'm not sure. I guess a 'micro' reciever is better than the stick I have with the v200... The main operating 'surface' would be the upholstered arm of my couch.

alright i booked the next flight to the netherlands cory sorry man i bought you a ticket but the catch is... your going to have to pretend your a 4300lb rhino concealed in a box no larger then the size of a small car. Just pack on a few pounds... you'll do fine.
-
Hah
The mouse for me will be for traveling and using when I'm not in my 'room' where everything else is, including my trusty mx700.
I think the v270 may be a good choice as well, BT isn't slow and won't be choppy as long as you have the right drivers. And a full battery -
is the v400 just about the size of the v500? I got a v500 but my problem with it was it was a bit hard to grip since it was quite low and the sides were thin and weren't grippy at all. Of course the v400 definitely look a lot grippier, but I was wondering is the height still about the same as the v500?
I'd like to find a mouse that is like the microsoft notebook wireless which fits like a dream...just that I wish the usb receiver wasn't so big lol. Microsoft's shape with logitech's receiver...that's a winning combo right there! -
I ordered a couple of these about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday, the store I ordered from sent me an email apologizing for the delay and said they'll be shipping "early next month", so I'm thinking 11/07 is the real date for the U.S.
-
I'm wondering what people's thoughts are on the v400 v. the v270. I have internal bluetooth so I like that with the v270 I wouldnt need an adapter but Im wondering if the laser technology and the two extra buttons are worth it to get the v400?
-
Once you've owned a mouse with those buttons, YOU CAN'T GO BACK!
-
Got some very good news people... seems that they changed from "notify me" to "buy now" on logitechs site for the v400
heres the link for all u lazy ppl

Hm...yeah that is pretty funny! "Hey - the V400 is avaliable, but not in stock!"
I did a price search here in the states and you can get it from so many different merchants...have you tried looking at some stores in the states and then see if they can ship it to you up there in Canada? -
Well it's 7th, if any of you guys gets that mouse, please post here or better yet post some pics of it
Oh and btw, Hello everyone, I'm new here -
Hey, forgot about this thread haha
A week ago, I got an email from Logitech, the title being "Logitech V400 Laser Cordless Mouse for Notebooks Confirmation" and I was like, WOW! I signed up for that 'Contact me for avaliablity' thingy on their site, but when I clicked on 'Buy it"
No Stock.
Bahhh...
And welcome! -
I'm also waiting for the delayed mouse..
Here in Denmark it seems like best bet at the moment is 16/11.

Really Cori? I signed up for the same thing and didn't get didly.
Yeah I've thought of reviving this thread but it's best that we just wait until we get a mouse. It'll get here when it gets here I suppose. -
Yeap, I sent off another email to the place where I bought it, I think the Dec date should be the right one...unfortunately..
-
Got a reply, looks like December 9th is the supplier's firm date.
-
Ouch, that's a month away
-
We've already waited 40+ days, whats another 30 days gonna do?
/me breathes in, breathes out....must....mouse...need....v400....orange...trim! -
In the U.S., tomorrow is the expected arrival. We'll see. This is the first time my supplier gave me a date closer than 1 week ahead.
-
Any idea where in the US it will be available tomorrow or soon after?
-
Hmmmm, tomorow huh...
We shall wait! -
As of last weekend, all the Staples stores in the Toronto and Brampton area that I was in, had a place on the shelf for the V400. And a price.
Nobody had stock. Seems strange they would set aside a pad and post a price for something that is not coming for another month....
Just got a new Gateway laptop, and really looking forward to the V400 to go with it. -
Ok- this is prob. a very dumb question- but I saw on Amazon that this has a 2.4 GHz receiver- won't there potentially be a problem with wireless cards then (since I know cordless phones at that frequency can cause interference)?
-
That raises a good point but I would assume since nearly all laptops have wirelss cards now and logitech made this mouse specifically for laptops they would have considered this and/or noticed such a problem if there was one.
-
For wireless, just change the channel - find one thats suitable and won't interfer I would assume.
Hmmm, gonna check out Staples this weekend -
Cori why don't you just make this thread sticky?
-
i have a 2.4ghz mouse and a 2.4ghz cordless phone in my room and they are both fine.... never interfere with eachother in anyway.
-
I'm not a mod in this forum
Only in the ASUS forum.
It's not like this thread isn't going to die anytime soon - its the biggest thread in Accessories(I think?) -
Well, now several stores are showing a sliding release date...every day their ETA says it'll be available on the next day. If I don't see it shipping by tomorrow, I'd be willing to bet that the Dec date is closer to the truth, but you wouldn't think that Logitech would want to miss out on all the Black Friday action...
-
-
Its just....3 and a half weeks away
-
are you guys sure its coming in December? I Saw one online site that says it will receive a shipment in Feb 06!
that woud be a long wait...
If it takes longer than december i'll probably buy a optical model that's currently out.. -
Gah!
I'm close to buying the G7 - my mx700 is getting picky on the surfaces and the large 'dongle' isn't picking up the connection too well -
Post 97.
Today I saw the v400 at Staples.
I mean, I saw the space allocated for it(With the v400 poster ad) but, alas, no v400. Retail price was 69.99 though... -
u made my heart skip a beat
-
lol you're sooo bad
