I understand that the imported file via Bluetooth will be located in My Documents\Bluetooth Exchange Folder, however, my problem is the 1810tz totally ignore my request to transfer in the file.
Tried so many to sent a file from my mobile phone to 1810tz, It just totally no response on the 1810tz (no notification pop up), and my mobile phone immediately received a message about 1810tz had rejected the request.

Then there something might have gone wrong with the pairing. I would remove the entries for your mobile on the computer, and the computer's entry in the list on your mobile and then try pairing computer and mobile again.

    Hi guys,
I have bought a new 500gb hdd for my 1810tz, I can remove the old one from the computer but I cant manage to remove whats arround the old hdd to put it arround the new one.
I have searched on the internet to no avail, the mounting seems to be different from other laptops, could you point me in the right direction or explain?

    TIA

    Hi there,

Could anybody vouch for any of the new 1TB 2,5 HDs to be thin enough to fit on a 1810TZ?
I was thinking of upgrading my 250GB to 1 TB, but I read that some, if not all, 1 TB HDs are around 3mm thicker than a normal 2,5'', which dependently on the laptop can prevent the hd from fitting in.

The 1810TZ is pretty thin, so I am not quite sure..

Also, does changing the hd void the warranty?
If it does, I'll wait until the end of it.

    Thanks!

    Aldo

Is this issue with all 3 models, I can't figure out whether you are talking about the single cores or the SU4100 as well?

Can I use conductive paint instead of soldering for this mod?

    Hi guys,

this is my first post here, so be kind with me if I break any rules. Also English is not my first language, so some funny language is imminent ;)

    Anyway, to the point.

I've had several problems with some older Synaptics TouchPad drivers for my 1810TZ and luckily I have stumbled across this selection of Synaptics drivers at station-drivers.com

I can confirm that the 15.1.16.2 driver works very well on my W7 HP 64.

It may be of some interest to others too IMO, perhaps even to add the link to the first post of the thread. At least I hope it's not something well-known which I've missed :D

I don't think you can accomplish a pinmod with conductive glue. When you see the size of the clockgen you'll wonder how they ever did it with a soldering iron. I am no stranger to soldering (i.e. backlit keyboard mod) but a pin mod is far beyond my skills.

    Hi all,
This is my first post here so I am sorry if I am asking a question that has already been answered but I really tried to look for an answer before posting this. Basically I have an 1810tz and no bluetooth. I think I found the module I need but can't figure out if I need an 8pin or 5pin connecting cable :( Here is the one I found locally Broadcom BCM92046 bluetooth 2.1 nowy FV gwarancja (1333023997) - Aukcje internetowe Allegro
Any advice will be appreciated and if I am missing something else please let me know.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi M@RT!N,

You need a module with 5pin connector on the cable. This thread may be of interest to you too http://forum.notebookreview.com/acer/502510-bluetooth-module-1410-1810t-doesnt-constantly-blink.html. According to this thread the "sticker" is what matters :)

I've just bought this module Acer Bluetooth Module 2.1 fr Aspire 1810T 1810TZ +cable on eBay (end time 17-Dec-10 13:17:39 GMT) on eBay (the price tag is pretty much identical to the one on Allegro). However that one will be travelling from Hongkong. I hope it's the one which doesn't blink.

I keep you updated when the module arrives. Hopefully in few weeks ...

Are you sure you don't want to buy both the module which (possibly) doesn't "blink" and the cable from the eBay auction? The module on Allegro looks alike to the ones which "blink" - of course if it does not bother you then it's not a problem :)

Anyway, building the cable would be easy - if you can get the right sockets and pinout.

In the meantime I contacted an official Acer service point and they said they can order a module and cable for about 35$ + shipping and I can have it in 2 weeks. I think I will go for that option as I don't want a blinky :) actually my wi/fi blinks all the time too so I know it is annoying.

Hello everybody. Sorry if already been discussed here, but you can replace the CPU (su4100 for su9600 for example) or it is soldered to the motherboard?

    Hi all,
Just wondering what the minimum temperature for operating my 1810tz can be? It got -22c here the other day and while I would not use it in such extremes I do sometimes have to open it up in a garage or warehouse where the temp can be around 0. I was wondering where I can find the information or maybe you have some recommendations. TX

That looks like a nice price for the 6600mAh one. I'm really thinking about getting a bigger battery, and I think that I'm willing to face the extra bulge of the 6600mAh one. However, how are we supposed to know which websites are legit and which aren't? I've seen a couple selling the same batteries, but I don't know if they are actually the same internally or what.

Now once I get a bigger battery, I'm going to want to learn how to solder, and get that overclocking mod done so I can turn my netbook into a tiny beast! haha

Please note these are not original batteries.
You may check the website to find out where the company is located. If this information is rather hidden, I wouldn't trust this vendor much. Focalprice.com is based in P.R.China btw.
I guess, they are the same stuff you can buy fom other chinese ebay sellers.

I can play blu-ray files (m2ts) smoothly using the Powerdvd 10 decoder at up to 1600xsomething in resolution (external display), but when trying 1920x1080 the audio and video stutters at moments even though the cpu is approximatley under the same load, around 20%. Why is that, any solution?

Sent my 1410 in for warranty work to deal with the flicker in the LED. Got it back with a replaced mainboard (huh?!) and the flicker still there... I sent it in during the last week of warranty, I was 90% sure they wouldn't fix it, and unfortunately, I was right. Sigh.

Oh and my battery was reporting 47 min with 46% left when I first turned it on... It's up to 2hr 45 min now. weird.
I was afraid they'd taken my good battery :p

I use my 1410 mainly as desktop PC. My WIFI is on every time I turn on computer even though I always have ethernet plugged in. Is there a way to change this behavior so I don't have to go through the bother of turning WIfi off everytime I boot up?

    Hi,

WLAN activity is controlled by Launch Manager, the setting is stored in the registry (per user). You may check if Launch Manager is installed or get a newer version (The version of the 1820/1825 does work with 1810/1410) from Acer support website.

Hello, I really need some help with my aspire 1410, and I don't think I will be able to read through all 174 pages of what looks like to be the exact thread I need.

My aspire 1410 keeps hanging: can do nothing but a hard shutdown. It can happen when it goes to sleep, when it wakes up, or just plain in the middle of using excel. I have thought it has to be a power issue, and have tried numerous adjustments including never having it go to sleep. When I contacted tech support they told me to adjust the power setting to High Performance, which strangely seemed to help for a while, but it still hangs. So tech support had me upgrade the BIOS, which strangely seemed to help for a while, then it went back to hanging. This has made the computer unuseable. I dont know what to do next. Here is the info on my machine:

    Acer Aspire 1410
    11.6"
    U3500 @ 1.4 GHz
    4 GB RAM
    220 GB HD
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    BIOS v1.3314, 8/31/2010

I don't know what other information to supply.

ANY and ALL help will be appreciated.

    Thanks, Joel

    hi,

this could be faulty RAM. Get Memtest and let it run at least overnight.

In case it detects a problem, then remove one of your two memory modules and test again with the remaining.

    Hello everybody,

I've got a 1810T laptop with a SU 3500 @ 1,4 Ghz, 3 GB Ram and using win7. Always used the .23 version of 1810Tray and everything worked fine, but now I've got a weird problem.

I updated it to .52 and now temp readings aren't correct anymore, so also the fan control is messed up. I tried to go back to the old .23 version, didn't help.

Then I decided to update the bios to the latest version available at Acer's site V1.3314. Also this didn't help, but at least I discoverd a kind of logic in the problem.

With the help of Real Temp I can see the real temperatures and discovered that:

When the temp is lower then 40 degrees, 1810Tray says its 255 degrees, the Icon is red and the fan is just normal speed.
When the temp is higher then 40 degrees, 1810Tray starts to work, but starts counting at 1 degree (so 42 --> 2 degrees). And the fan speed control works.

I adjusted the settings so now it tries to keep the temp at 0 degrees, so it works kind of...

Could anybody help me with the problem, so I can use the software like I did before?

    Thanks in advance,

    Mr. Oizo

Unfortunately not. Maybe let the test run longer. Some memory issues are hard to narrow down.

You could also simply remove one module and see if things improve in real world application.

According to the release notes, you linked to
these drivers are not targeted to the MHD4500 VGA of the 1810/1410 series. I am slightly confused.

I have ordered other products from this shop, which turned out to be reliable.
However, I haven't ordered any of the batteries, thus am not able to comment.
Comparing the pictures with my original battery, I think I can risk it; I might give it a try and report back, when I do.
