Anyone have a link to the previous version because I cannot disable this CTRL-SHIFT-LEFT/RIGHT option. Really need those keys for MS word and text selection in general.

    Hi,

I can't deactivate the hotkeys of the program. When I uncheck the hotkey box it automatically activates them again after a while. What can I do to get rid of the hotkeys for good?

PS. Thanks for the great program :)

    Hi again,

I used the program on my 1810tz for a while. It seems like the temperature detection does not work correctly. I was rendering a video and it still showed 25°C, and it continued to do so until my machine finally blacked out.

What can I do to make this work?

    Thanks,

    Chrischik

I think you need to upgrade to the latest BIOS to fix that issue.

I recall someone mentioning the same problem but for 1810T, and updating the BIOS fixed the incorrect temperatures.

I still have the .45 version on my computer. I upgraded to .48 yesterday, but downgraded to .45 today because of the very problem that you mentioned. I'm constantly using Ctrl+Shift+Left/Right to select text that I had to forgo .48 for now.

inteks, I hope that uploading this file is okay. If not, then please ask a Mod to remove this post.

Sorry, I posted in a wrong language - Am from Germany :)

    Translation for text above:
I have a new 1825PTZ with UMTS module. Can I use the 1810tray for this netbook and which settings would you recommend?
The fan is too loud and I would like to reduce the noise in a quiet environment.

    Thanks a lot

    Hi,

Don't know if it's something in use here but I really want to thank you very much. Works so fine on Acer 8942g and makes it a pleasant laptop at least.

Feel free to delete if not appropriate and sorry for approximativ' english writing.

Edit : And hum the "fanspdac" in registry wich I suppose to be the different speed of fan don't seem to be correct as "Slow" and "very slow" options just cut off the fan. Here they are : 0x1F, 0xA7, 0x9E, 0x8A, 0x13, 0x00, 0x00

Any suggestion sind wilkommen, merci ;)

    Hi inteks

Thanks a lot for your handy program! I tried it on my Packard Bell Dot M U and the Auto profile. The fans are very quiet. But temperatures went up to 69 degrees celcius. Is this sth I should be worried about ?
The fan noise -eventhough the speed is on veryhigh- is nowhere near as loud as when running without your tool. Is this okay?

    cheers

I just upgraded to version .50.

Before the upgrade, the measured idle temp was around 40°C. The new version shows around 50° wich causes the fan to run all the time (with my Settings).

Any ideas whats going on there?

    hiho,

    i've uploaded vers. 52 ;-)

    changelog:
    -small bugfixes
-i removed the option "magnifier on threefingertap" because it allways brings up the magnifier on navigating backwards. you could use the included "magnifierToggle.exe" instead with the "three fingerdown" option in the synaptics controlpanel :)

    have fun

what version did you use before? in a very old version 1810tray use acerEC for get cpu temp, in the newer ones it get the temp directly from the CPU...

what bios are you using with the old ones the temps are not reported correctly (not only in 1810tray)

it althoug depends on the CPU in your ..... (what model do you have???)

you can adjust the TJMax in the settings ...

    have fun inteks

    Hi,

I really just wanted to thank you for this tool. It is a godsend! :) I've been using my little netbook for a while now and it was always bugging me because the fan is so loud on AC and now it is eerily quiet!!! :)

I just joined the forum to say thanks and get my download ;) Keep up the good work!

I've tried to undervolt my 1810T to 0.8750V* but my laptop randomly freezes/locks up.
I used Orthos and ran the test for several hours and there was no problem.

On a few occasions I am playing Starcraft and all of a sudden the screen freezes but I can still hear the music playing.

Other times I have foobar2000 open and the screen would just freeze and I could still hear the music.

I would have to forcibly shut down the machine.

Normally if there was insufficient voltage I would get a BSOD (when using RMClock), but haven't got anything as a result of using 1810tray.

What was done differently this time using 1810tray was that the Minimum/Maximum processor states in Windows Power Options was left as defaults. When using RMClock I would have to set these all to 100%.

When using the undervolting feature do I have to set all the processor states to 100%? Would this possibly fix these freezing issues? I have also tried setting the voltage to 1.0000V*, but it does say "keep VoltageID @ or below".

    Hi,

maybe this is a bug, or it is just my system:
When setting the fan to 'slow' manually and coming back from standby the fan seems to be in native mode and not in 'slow' again. If I right-clock on slow again I can hear the fan spinning down to 'slow' mode again.

I wonder what's the meaning of the horizontal bar in the tray icon, on my system it just fills up until it's completely blue, than it changes to green and starts over. I thought it was the CPU utilization but obviously it's nothing more than a timer?!

It's a battery indicator and the thing you are describing is what it shows when on AC (charging). Once on battery, you see how much of it is left and it also changes colour when battery gets low, check the thread for limits.

It means that your processor is working at 793MHz from maximum 1300MHz (1,3GHz) because of power management or because it is underclocked.

Just leave it as is. CPU clock should rise automagically if the CPU has some work to do.

    Hi all,

It seems I can't use the "Do a MiddleButtonClick on TwoFingerTap" in the Settings of 1810tray. I can see that for the option above this, "Automaticly rotate the orientation..." it says "Works for x86 only". Is this the case for the TwoFingerTap too?

I have Acer 1410 with Win 7 64bit and the newest Synaptics drivers installed.

    TIA

    Tomi

Hello everyone! I joined this forum now exclusively for your fantastic topics affecting the 1810tz.
I just bought the version with SU4100 and Windows Seven Home Premium.
    I brought the ram to 4gb 667 PC2 5300.
reading these pages but I could not find an answer to my question (may also be because of my poor English)

for my model what are the best settings to set in "1810tray?

    su4100 can be overclocked safely?

Is it possible to overclock my new 1810TZ with this toll? Is no TME-Mod necessary?

@Unentschieden: You're right. This doesnt make any sense. Even undervolting is pretty useless...

Is there any chance to save the fan speed until next boot? Because i want it always "slow"!??

I cant (de)activate the devices of my 1810tz by this tool! How can i fix this?

This works for my TimelineX 5820TG i can see the values chaning in RWeverything, yet its a little messed for me because 'veryhigh' fan speed is slowing the fan down and 'high' is making it run faster.

Yet.. i need some support.. my acer auto adjust the fan speed again after a few seconds so i have to click the slow button all the time for it not to be loud..

Do anyone know the stable values which will make it stay at the whished fan speed..??

    thanks in advance!

I am truly sorry if this has been addressed 100x already, but these forum threads get a bit daunting. I mean 70 pages with 694 posts???

Okay, here's my question: I know the 1830 is an evolution of the 1810, and that my Travelmate 1872T is a kissing cousin of the 1830. Will the 1810 Tray work on my Travelmate 1872T without messing up anything else?

Is there any software to control the Fan-speed of the 8172 Travelmate?
    It makes me nervous :-(
Will there every be a chance to control it, or is it impossible?

is there a final solution to have 1810tray in the autostart as a restricted user and not having to type in the admin pw at every start? it's really annoying
