Awesome app! You totally saved me from mental insanity due to high fan noise. $30 donated!

What's an ok CPU temp for the 1810tz by the way?

    Ok, great.

I just noticed a problem though, the temperature that the app measures seems to be constantly stuck at the value when the computer was started. It doesn't change even if I put the fan on the highest speed for long periods of time. I've also installed Real Temp and Core Temp to measure the CPU temperature and the temperature value is constantly the same, I even had the computer in my freezer for a minute but no change :). I'm running Windows 7 64bit, intel core 2 duo u4100. What do you think could cause this problem?

EDIT: I flashed the BIOS and the problem is solved, so if you experience the same problem try flashing the BIOS.

    Hi,
first thx for the great tool :)

I have the same issue since the last 2 versions of the tool.
After booting the process 1810Tray.exe is running in the process list, but the trayicon dosen't appear.
I use the autostart funktion of the tool. No error message appear.
When i kill the process and start it again manualy, it works fine.
When i don't kill the process and start it again, the process runs twice and the trayicon appear.
    I use Windows 7 x64

Sorry for my bad english, I hope the informations helps you.

i had previusly checked the autostart function in the 1810tray settings of an older version, but nothing in Win7 autostart folder. i copied the new version on to of the oldf folder.

I get the message "1810tray.exe has stopped working. Windows searches for a solution to the problem". same thing happens if i try to manually run the program.

How do i clean out old 1810tray settings?

1810tray dont use the autostartfolder. its start with the use of taskscheduler.

    settings are stored under
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Inteks\1810tray

btw for the last version the new inteldriver is needed (one of the last 2 with the new controlpanel)

if you manually start 1810tray make shure it has adminrights !!!

thanks for keeping on updating 1810tray :)
As the most needed features are already in, perhaps you can add some things to attract more people, like
    *translations
*autoupdate (perhaps an option to download only stable releases or all betas)

I just downloaded .33 for my 1810TZ, works great, no issues at all.

I have the newest bios update installed. Some of the older versions of 1810Tray didn't work with older bios versions. If people are running into problems I suggest trying out the newest bios.

edit: actually I'm having issues with the program not starting up automatically when you boot the machine even though the autostart option is ticked under settings. Any ideas how to fix this?

    I keep getting an error message upon opening (actually 'trying to', since I never get that far..) the Options window;
the .NET Framework reports an unhandled exception:
    (the essence of it)

    v .22 worked alright.

Which version(s) of the -VGA driver do you refer too? Many have other problems with .1986 and .2101. Im therefore running .1855 and is reluctant to go over that until the bugs are sorted out. Latest version on Acer site is .1840.

I have the latest BIOS installed (.3303). 1810tray .32 and .33 still crashes on loading. Where can i get a previous version?

Thanks for the dedication to this excellent tool!

i ve done some heavy changes to the code so here is a beta.

    pls report back!

this version writes also a logfile into Appdir. to find this startupproblems.
if you have probs pls post this file "1810trayError.log"

its possible that you current profiles dosent work until you saved them again !!!

42 sounds about right & 32C is pratically impossible (unless of course you are running your tests on an ice bar on Pitzaler Galcier) - particularly in Greece... ;)

So yeah, you have a very odd situation, indeed. What's your CPU and what is it's Tjunction... 105C? My SU4100 & the "new" 1810T's SU7300 are both 105C, while the SU2300 & SU3500 reside @100C.

CPUID's HW Monitor will also read correct figures after BIOS 3303... :D

Does anyone know how to fix the startup issue? Version 0.33 doesn't startup automatically even though the "Autostart at Logon" option is applied under settings. Same issue with v.35 beta... I didn't have this problem with v.22

I'm on bios 1.3303 with windows 7 ultimate.

maybe its because one of the cores report wrong values. at the moment i read only the first core temp. i think i read the temp of both core and use the higher one in next version.

what temps report coretemp ??? are the temps on the cores diffrent ?

Latest version (.36) works fine here with Win7 x64 on an 1810T

Just wondering - what happened to the "HDD power mode" in the "devices" section? Is it the same one as the "allow hdd power saving" in each profile now?

    jepp it is :)

i cleaned out some code and this "device" wasnt really a device only the real devices the user added are in the list now.

the same for aero and themes! you can add them as there services. i.e. "UxSms" for aero

i removed all the settings in the registry.

now .36 starts but there are no more devices and powerthemes in it.
do i need to add all the devices manualy?
and the 3 windows stock powerthemes are not listet too...

Nah, they vary by 1C, max. Attached, a pic of mine (from 45C at idle to 60C+ while playing a complex mkv.). Mogolfiero should do the same, though... maybe in his case it's different... :-/

To add devices just right-click an "add devices".
    Works great.

    But:
I`ve an problem that I can reproduce very well.
I selected an profile in "select an profile on startup" an the prog does no more start. I habe to delete the sysreg and to reconfigure everything.
When I start the prog, I have to enable the profile manually.

First of all, thanks for this great tool! Now one can work in quiet places without getting mad about the fan! :)

One thing I noticed is the reported core temp after waking up from hibernation state. It is about 30 degrees higher than before. What I did:

    1. start 1810tray on my 1810TZ
    2. don't hear nothing anymore :))
    3. doing some "work" (28 deg. constantly)
    4. => hibernate
    5. => resume (immediately after hibernation)
    6. notice the new core temp (59 deg.)

Could it be that there is an update / temp poll problem?

    Cheers!

Thx to 18010Tray & DPC Latency checker you can easily hunt down problematic devices and control them effortlessly  I even added my internal soundcard to my devices list and can control that too now with a click of my mouse :p
