I going Windows 7 RC x64 tonight again.
To test out something. LOL. Well, Cinedash is suppose to work with Windows Media Player @.@? I don't know. I just use Cinedash for volume control and Arcade Deluxe(audio and videos).

yeah it works for everything else except winamp
for it to work with winamp, the fix in the link i posted used to work, but it doesnt seem to work anymore

i think it might be because im using x64 but im not sure

True. 64bit can't really install or works well with everything.
Just now I install Windows 7 Ultimate RC x64 from Windows Vista HP x86.
Now, installing Windows Vista HP x64. LOL.
Just realise the Driver and Application partition doesn't have the Wireless driver for 64bit.
I also found that 64bit(tested with 7 and vista) have increase the GPU performance too.
Now, I wondering when should I install Vista Business x64. LOL.
About the Cinedash, it doesn't really matter for the winamp for me. As long as it works fine with Arcade Deluxe and Windows Media Player.

You can get the 64-bit Wireless driver from Intel directly.

As far as I know, no.
You could always try one of the drivers from the 6930/6935, as I'd assume they would have the same speaker setup.

Hey! It seems my GPU randomly downclock(if I overclock) while gaming has been fix with the installation of Vista 64bit.
However, the Vista 64bit locked something(not important) in the RMClock which I can't change them at all. Once I click apply and then refresh(whatever it is), they will revert back to original state. LOL.
Ooooo yeah. The Nvidia System Tools(nTune) got corrupted in my 64bit Vista. Uninstall it and whole GPU driver and then install back won't help.
However, with EVGA Precision 1.8.0, I am able to overclock again.

Hey, I've recently gotten a new 6920 and I was wondering if anyone else has a problem with dropped keys.

    I'm a touch typist and this dropped key business is really ruining everything T_T I was hoping someone else who's experienced can help with the issue. I'm just hoping for some software fix. But, at the moment I'm starting to think I might just have to buy an external keyboard =_=;

Sad. How did you crush your laptop keyboard? Dropped key means the keyboard button got problems right?
Anyway, buying an external keyboard is cheap and easy.
Buying the build-in for AS 6920G is expensive and very hard(to fix it in).

    >_>; Uh I didn't mean I broke the keyboard. There's nothing wrong with that. What I mean by dropped keys is, I'll press the key but sometimes it'll not come up on the screen. I noticed that it happens most often when I'm typing at a fast pace, which is why it's a problem. Keep in mind this is a brand new laptop, so I'm hoping it's just a software setting or something that changes it =(

=( That's not very fun D: Though it seems that it might be the touchpad causing it. I turned that off and it's been happening a lot less.

i didnt notice this with rc versions.

Well, the problem is your laptop does not able to use 1.000V.
Your laptop become unstable with 1.000V.
    Try higher voltage I think.
70C for a GPU is very normal and very safe.

Weird things are happening to my laptop... I'm thinking it's a problem with my undervolt, but I'm not quite sure. I'd recently undervolted it to 1.0750, and it was running fine for a week or so, but suddenly I started getting the BSOD x_x; I raised it to 1.0875, but within seconds it would BSOD again. The only thing that changed was installation of the Logitech Set Point software and drivers. Could there be some kind of issue with those drivers and Vista 64-bit?

I'm thinking of uninstalling the software if it happens again =\

    Please state your CPU model.
If you're not sure about the Intel Chipset(64bit), you can download the driver here, http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/
1.0875V is considered a very high VID, it shouldn't give you BSOD basically. Not sure what exactly is your problems.

If that's the only thing that changed before the problem started, then that would be a good place to start in trying to fix the problem i think. Try uninstalling the software aready and see if that fixes the problem.

Well it seemed like it subsided for a while, but the BSOD happened again =_=; And my chipset is Intel PM965. The CPU model is Intel Core 2 Duo T5900 2.2GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2.0 MB L2 Cache. I'm tempted to reformat the whole system, but all that stuff I installed T_T

    ACER ASPIRE 6920g
I insert a firewire express card (I have tried 3 different cards) in my Aspire 6920g, power on and the wireless adaptor does not operate (no orange light) and no internet. All unsuccessful. the ACER technicians say there is no problem.

    Many Thanks,

ok, clean install of win 7 7077 beta and RTM, tested 186 nvidia official win 7 drivers and sleep is death. press power button and computer wakes but screen does not  went back to 179.48 (vista 64) and sleep is ok
edit: just did some more research and seems that 186.81 and below had sleep problems.
recommended is 186.82 which i have just tried and sleep is fixed.

Indeed. 186.81 released in Nvidia Website was a cr@p.
I installed it and run some benchmark and games. Lower FPS and Points. Very disappointed.
186.82 is the better and currently the BEST for my laptop.

    @GuardianFlash,
You don't need to install your Blu-ray Disc Rom Driver(I guess it doesn't even exist). It can be use directly without installation.

It just says DVD RW Drive (E :). I don't have any blue ray disc I hope it'll still play blue ray. i installed vista again cause I'm about to sell the laptop in an hour or so. Good laptop, just not too pleasant to carry around. It's hard to let it go, but I need the money. And it's not the G, just normal 6920 T5750.

GuardianFlash, I'm surprised that the non-G model was ever sold with a Blu-ray drive. The GMA X3100 lacks the video decoding features that are needed for smooth playback of high-bitrate 1080p video like Blu-ray.

And 186.81 works just fine on my machine - no sleep issues at all.

Then you did have the 6920G - the "G" stands for "Gaming" or "Graphics".
The 6920 (no G) uses an integrated Intel GMA.

I think he teared off the stickers of AS6920G specification and there was a crystal like plastic bar on the bottom right of the keyboard. It was written Aspire 6920. So, I guess GuardianFlash saw that and said his model is without "G". But if it have a dedicated graphic card, it is a G model for sure.

Sry guys I guess mine is the 6920G. I guess 6920 drivers are the same as 6920G cause all this time I have been installing 6920 softwares and drivers. Decided not to sell it, good laptop. I was able to run Fallout 3 on medium settings.

What kind of cpu you guys have on yours? Mine only a T5750 so I thought maybe mine gotta be only the 6920 without G.

The two share a common platform and devices, the main difference is the Intel chipset - GM965 for the 6920, PM965 (with a dedicated GPU) for the 6920G.

    Mine had a T5550 (1.83 GHz, 667 FSB, 2MB cache) from stock, but I upgraded it to a T8300.

    Hello all!

I'm a brand new member looking for some sound advice on my 6920g..

After 15 to 20 minutes of gaming my Processor spikes to 100% and i get horrible FPS (10fps and lower).. even on games from 2002..

From searching the net, I see this is a common issue with these laptops.. Though i still haven't found a single thread that has a solution.. All i have found are the complaints and mentioned issue..

    Please help!

I am loosing faith in this Laptop and will sell it if this is not resolved.. :(

    That is SD Card Reader.
The Express Card Reader is near there as well. Basically, left side of the SD Card Reader or known as bottom-left corner.
