90 degrees is hot, so you may want to to cut back a little if you want to game for long periods of time, to reduce the risk of damaging any components

Okey rayyan so when i have installed this xp bluetooth driver it say's when almost completed installation:

"No bluetooth device detected" Please make sure that your bluetooth device is plugged in corectly"

I have activated bluetooth on my mobile (it's a very new samsung omnia i900) so it must be more then compatible with new computers.

Got any solution to this why it can't find my phone?

vaquin you don't have bluetooth on board. You can install every drivers you want it won't work ;-) since there's no bluetooth device on your 5930G.

    @Vaquin
I would ask you to download this software called SIW (System Information for Windows) and check if you have bluetooth as hardware on your machine. It would be ironic if you still cannot find that, cuz its a 5930G..that's y :p (i have heard of series within this series that carry no bluetooth module..lets just hope yours isn't one of them)

"No Bluetooth device found" will be shown even if there is a bluetooth device inside. Its just that you will have to switch it on using the button on the left side of the keyboard with the bluetooth icon. Press it during the installation if you really want to know if there is such a device or not. Its mostly a Broadcom device, so get the right driver. Wrong drivers also wont detect the hardware.

You can get the software here.

And guys, btw, i still have a device which has no drivers related to it. "Modem on High definition Audio Bus". Any ideas? None of the drivers i got have an idea of what this thing is :p .

Here's maybe a hint of where you can find your bluetooth hardware manufacturer, just in case.

I have a 5930G and no bluetooth device so it's possible. I have the bluetooth button on the left which is useless.

Yeah, but I guess that the bluetooth button is part of the chassis so it remains there even if the laptop does not come with the bluetooth module installed

Ath: google the thing you can't find drivers for, to see what it is, then see if the driver is available on the acer site

Also, do you know if 500GB laptop drives are available here yet or not ????

Well, a friend gave me a little bluetooth usb dongle which works perfectly but i only used it two times...Bluetooth is not very useful to me but sometimes it can be fun to have it.

I have fingerprint protection on board instead which is way useless than bluetooth. ;-) I bought the 5930G for the 9600M GT DDR3 at unbeatable price that's all i don't really mind about the rest.

I knew that my 5930G wouldn't come with bluetooth before i bought it, it was the same thing with my first Acer so no deception here. I had the bluetooth button but not the device on the mobo.

Yup, I might actually go with a 500gb 5k as 7k might be too expensive, the cost of laptop drives is outrageous here much more expensive than "sexy" [where you live] kallogan ;) :p, I'll still keep me eye out though

Also, guys I ran 3DMark06 on stock GPU clocks, max temps reached were 71 all around and this is the result:

I'm not sure whether this is good or bad, of course if I crank the clocks to the levels you guys used to o/c who knows what will happen?? ;)

    What do you think

Rayyan your temp and score seem to be totally normal. I scored about 5665 with Dox crap and stock clocks. With 179.28 i would score about 5600 i think maybe less.

As for HD, i think the 7K 16MB 500GB is veryyyy sexy ;-) Too expensive tough but perhaps one day. I will add a "desired HD" stuff in my signature héhé

    i smell a little disappointment ;-) maybe it's rather 150-200 points...don't know maybe i'd score only 5500 with 179.28.

    Not really

The real results will be when I overclock the card (probably in the summer after my finals)

    BTW Kallogan

    Search 4860 on the forums
There are two or three threads on it the forum that I'm keeping up with, and it looks to be an amazing card =to or better than 4850, and there is a chance that it may be released as an MXM-II card
    A solid upgrade for us

With that, a T9600 [2.8GHz] and a 500GB HD this laptop would be a killer machine and last even longer

Cheack it out, and keep your fingers crossed :D :D

You read in my mind, that is the perfect 5930G i'm dreaming about each night ;-)

Will take a look at those threads.

Just went to bench with stock clocks and 179.48 (quite similar than 179.28)

Score : 5590 (cpu score is 1738). Therefore 110-120 points more. Means you can probably hit 7000 points with 660/1650/950.

    LOL

Can you spray a half naked girl, or would you just a slap a pic of something like your laptop background on the lid :p

I wanna take it apart fully, sand of all the paint on the liid, around the screen, and the chassis, then paint it all jet black, add red flames/tribal (my name somewhere :D :D) then coat it to get some gloss (not too much)

I also wanna switch all the blue LEDs (power, touch buttons) to red to match   , but I don't think I could :(

    Hi all

Just notice that my keyboard "goes down" a little bit when pressing in the middle. It's more stable on the sides if you know what I mean.

    Should it be like that?

Maybe you can say it's bending when pressing the keyboard (i'm not that good at english) :)

Well I mean if you press down for example G pretty hard you can see the keys around also go down a little bit, or the plate under the keys. it's not stiff.

But if you press the A key the board under the keys are more "stiff".

lol ozzon after reading your post, i've tried to press "g" key strongly and indeed the keyboard bent a little ;-). But frankly it only happens when you press keys really hard so it's not really an issue. I would never have pointed it out by typing normally.

So let me ask you this :

    Wouldn't you be a nit-picker ?? :D

Not all of these models come with a Bluetooth.
Yours for example is the same is mine, and I don't have bluetooth incorporated inside of mine.
I do have a button for it, but it doesn't work, nor is there anything in Device manager indicating of a possible bluetooth device.

    That ...
Indeed ... no reason to mess around with specialized software since most of the time it's useless and hogs lots of system resources.

I would also recommend you simply transfer files manually.

Just for sharing my expérience guys, two days ago i've completely crashed my lap when trying to erase the two Acer ghost partitions (cause they take 12 GB of Hard drive) with crappy log partition magic 8 .

Then impossible to boot windows. I've tried everything and everything partitioning softwares to recover my system, i couldn't use my lap for 24 hours, in brief the complete mess ;-)

So, well, don't erase these partitions ;-)
