Hello kizwan,
I have Acer Aspire 5930g with 1.23 BIOS version, Windows 7 x64
I re-built the BIOS, but it looks very strang for me:
The parameters 'System Time' and 'System Date' were duplicated, and the additional IDE/SATA tabs were added to the Main tab.
The Modified (EGR-123M.ROM), Original BIOS versions and sceenshots of the Setups, Emulations are located here:
https://rapidshare.com/files/23804416/BIOS_1.23_MODIFIED_5930G.zip
Could you advice or point me - what can be wrong?
Please inform me if any additional information is required from my side.
Thank you in advance.Attached Files:

kizwan,
In addition : how can I unhide/unblock the 'Intel' tab/sub-menues for my BIOS. I'd like to play with these configurations. If it was already somewhere described - point me please to the manual or FAQ (the similar way of "digging" will also be useful).
Best regards.Attached Files:

kizwan,
=====
It seems that I did not recieve your reply when was typing this post.
Thanks for the links. I'll try them
=====
I possibly found the root of this case:
System time is 'b7 1'6 - it is duplicated here when I am trying to replace '00 00' with 'f7 13' (Including the menu header, the offset for “Intel(R) Virtualization Technology” menu is f7 13) in the indicated boxes ('00 00 00 00 00 00'). The replacing of '00 00' before and after this selected area did not bring any successfull results (the VT option was added to 'Information' tab and caused the mess in this tab). The mentioned screenshots attached (the sceenshot of BIOS 'after selected area' did not change anything in the BIOS configuration, so it was not attached).
There is only one way - to add this VT option to another Tab - into Information (in other place of this tab), Security, of Boot tabs ?Attached Files:

-
After installing Biosmod, I found that to enable VT-x/virtualization, detects the operating system normally, but when the notebook goes into sleep mode automatically disables the VT, I saw something that can be in Standby (S3).
Any idea??

If you sure that BIOS is for your notebook, then I can proceed.
-
No sir. I canot find version v3.00 in toshiba website for my model. I do not know what it is
I tried to do the 4.70 update in Windows 7 64bit but WinPhlash64.exe is freeze my laptop and I failed( i close all program and run is administrator but i failed)
I tried UPDATE from DOS WinPhlash 32bit or 64bit but i failed "this aplication canot start in dos mode"

If you got problem like that, do not proceed. You will bricked your notebook. Your notebook will become expensive paperweight.
-
And what do I do now ?
-
Do nothing. Forget modified BIOS. If you unable to find the correct BIOS for your notebook & unable to flash the original BIOS, this will only lead you to disaster. Sorry, don't get me wrong. It's for your own good.
-
ok ok no problem I will try to 4.70 update , so I'll do occur.
thanks sir -
No, you don't understand. Do not update the BIOS.
-
no problem. I now send email to toshiba support to explain what my problem. bought am new laptop and I guarantee. If you do not solve the problem, mourning them
who cares
-
Hi!
I would like some help.
It seems my Acer aspire 5530 laptop has been bricked.
Freezes at Bios,POST.
So i cannot even get to the boot menu.
Thus i request a CRISIS method to recover the corrupted BIOS also i would like a modded bios with hidden menus too.
Tried this method already:
- Use this CRISIS package: CRISIS DISK - Phlash16_v1.7.0.18_DiffSize.rar
1. Rename your notebook's BIOS image (*.WPH) to BIOS.WPH & put it in the WINCRIS folder (where WINCRIS.EXE is located)
2. Create CRISIS disk with USB key/flash drive using WINCRIS.EXE
3. Make sure there are three files in the CRISIS disk; minidos.sys, phlash16.exe & BIOS.WPH
4. Plug the USB storage into a USB port on the bricked notebook.
5. The bricked notebook must be in power OFF state. Plugged in the battery.
6. Press Fn + ESC button then plug in AC. (the powerbutton does NOT flash)
7. Press Power button to initiate system CRISIS mode. Release Fn+Esc keys after you see activity at the CRISIS disk.
8. After a few minutes (~2 or so) the system reboots, and then reboots again and loads into windows, install successful!(Please wait for 15 minutes. If after 5 minutes it doesn't restart itself, press the touchpad's right button & wait for 15 minutes. Do not press any key to prevent interrupting the recovery process.)
Results:
Power button flashed in pink colour once after i plugged in AC.
Turned on,pendrive's led started to flashing so i assume it started to read datas, released Fn+Esc,however after waiting 15 minutes nothing happened, pressed touchpad right button once, waited another 15 minutes, still nothing has happened.
Also tried to take out ram modules,HDD but the problem is still here.
So if anyone can help pls do so. -
If you can see activity on the screen, BIOS is not bricked/corrupted. BIOS won't corrupted itself. Look like hardware problem, e.g. faulty HDD or RAM.
The modified BIOS for Aspire 5530 can be found at post #2098. -
No cpu load, black screen, nothing.Turned off the laptop.
So now, there is no screen activity at all after turning on thus i would like a little more help.
Like a different method if there is any.
Thanks for the modified bios. -
You shouldn't tried BIOS recovery because the original problem is not BIOS. BIOS won't corrupted itself. BIOS can only corrupted if there is an interruption or error during BIOS flashing/programming.
OK, now your notebook bricked for real. The BIOS recovery procedure already correct. However, you'll need a floppy disk (by using USB floppy drive). USB flash drive won't work. -
After several restarts Bios started to load but after that stucked at the command prompt, didnt reach the bootable phase.
Next restart resulted in a black screen. No response.
Next restart frozen at Bios load.
After this tried the crisis method without plugging in AC as i read in the service guide.
Fn+Esc in power off state then hold the power button, released power button, released Fn+Esc after confrimed the data read from pendrive.
The process was succesful, comp shut down on its own after about 2-3 mins.
As i mentioned above i tried to boot without HDD,tried rams in both slot one by one but the comp still froze down at bios menu, load so i really dont know anymore what can be the problem.
But i appreciate your help. Sorry about the off-topic posts. -
Hi friends im new here. I bought for my child for school laptop wanted to reinstall windows and happened accident.
Laptop - Acer Aspire 3000

But seems that the laptop even turns automatically when i put AC ADAPTER - one time just power button flashes, then pull out AC ADAPTER and put in some kind of that again and the thirt POWERS UP and the COOLERS is working as the start. There was only one time when i tryed today reflash in black screen already that there wasnt working cooler but TWO LEDS over the POWER button to the left (FIRST TWO LEDS was in the light) Im already 5 hours trying and nothing.
The BATTERY IS NOT WORKING SO LAPTOP WORKS ONLY CONNECTED TO AC ADAPTER & THE CD-ROM ALSO IS NOT WORKING NOW ITS NOT OPENING. It was working when the bios didnt failed.

Hi djspiritlv,
You will need a floppy disk. To use a floppy disk, you'll need a USB floppy drive.
- Do this on a computer with Windows XP operating system.
- Download BIOS file from here: Acer Support: Downloads & Support Documents - Notebook / Aspire / Aspire 3000
- Extract the BIOS package (BIOS_3A32.zip)
- Download this CRISIS package: Acer Aspire 9420 BIOS Recovery.rar
- Extract the CRISIS package (Acer Aspire 9420 BIOS Recovery.rar)
- In "Acer Aspire 9420 BIOS Recovery"\CRISDISK folder, delete the BIOS.WPH file
- Go back to BIOS_3A32 folder (at no. 3) & copy ZL53A32.WPH file to "Acer Aspire 9420 BIOS Recovery"\CRISDISK folder
- Go to "Acer Aspire 9420 BIOS Recovery"\CRISDISK folder & rename ZL53A32.WPH file to BIOS.WPH
- Plug-in USB floppy drive
- Run WINCRIS.EXE
- Click Start button & wait until it finish.
- Plug-in the USB floppy drive to Aspire 3000 laptop
- Please follow the BIOS recovery procedure available over here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/ace...ix-bios-bios-mod-request.html#h_bios_recovery
The BIOS recovery procedure is under "This is step-by-step BIOS recovery which is works for me & most Acer notebook"
Good luck. -
Sorry forgot to mension yes there is Windows XP. Just tryed your instructions nothing but the good thing was that LAPTOP RESTARTED after 5-7minutes but no result black screen..Now i downloaded from acer euro support trying to reflash bios now in process

If laptop automatically restarted, the BIOS recovery should be successful. Did you tried power off laptop after it restarted? Then after that power ON the laptop again?
-
Yes tryed when i put in AC ADAPTER 1time power button just blinks then unput/input AC again then he turns on automatically and screen is black. And the same all time please Kizwan help me somehow maybe we can talk in touch like skype or something cause im already trying 8hours to do something
Also maked my usb flash to floppy changinh mark from F to A: like floppy and nothing.
I WILL APPRECIATE REALLY if u will find me in SKYPE nickname - reelaax

You need to use real floppy disk. Using USB flash drive will not work.
-
